Multiple Asian cultures inspired the game world, rules have been changed to 5e , except the gameplay isn’t like 5e , it’s a wonderful world which asks the players to play to become and live within the game world, I’ve read all the book and really look for to playing the game , quality book and excellent designed game book

I was really pleasantly surprised by this book. I have avoided playing the earlier additions of the setting but thought that this was chock-full of great ideas. Plenty of lore. Just be aware that there aren’t a ton of spells in this setting. I love what they do with character classes.

The rules for this edition are pretty awesome. The ease of the 5e/d20 system makes the cool concepts in this game finally come together in functional, meaningful ways. Mechanics are 5 stars all the way.My biggest complaint is that the source material and lore is very much lacking. I know they're trying to introduce an entirely new setting to (most) players and variations on the classes and magic system. I get it. However, they have 20+ years of really cool lore they could draw from that is just being left out. I sincerely hope they rework some of that lore in future supplement books.Disclaimer: I have been playing Legend of the Five Rings since second edition, and played the unfortunately named "Oriental Adventures" when it came out in the early 2000s. I also own every 5e L5R source book available, so I am much more familiar with this setting than many. The reason I mention this it to justify my 4 star rating. Hope that helps!

If you love Asian culture and heroes, buy this. It's well put together and easy to understand. Lots of amazing classes and species to explore and new spells and everything you could want. Much needed source material for 5e! If you want ninjas and samurai, look no further! The Specter and Yokai species are pretty awesome!

Love this book. Think of it like oriental adventures but better.

This version of the setting allows players to take on roles as different species from the original setting. This expands the game for players away from just humans. The setting is over 25 years old and has a large backstory that you can access with just this one book.
