This hook is perfect. I put it in utility room to hang clothes out of dryer. Folds up out of the way and telescopes out for use. PERFECT!!!!!

The media could not be loaded.  My package literally arrived less than 5 hours after ordering it which was amazing. The telescoping rod with hook is impressively sturdy and protrudes about 2in while folded up, 7in while folded down, and 13in when rod is fully extended. The rod will work great for me to hang wet laundry up to dry, plan outfits for work or vaycay, steam wrinkled clothes, and for temporarily resting empty hangers, purses, or similar clutter on when to tidy up in a pinch.Most metal hooks come in any color but white, so seeing this offered in White was a big selling point for me! The wall color in my apartment is pure White, so I wanted something that blended into the walls as much as possible & didn’t stand out much. The White matches very well!I set it up a few inches above my head so I can walk underneath it while it’s extended (I’m 5’3”), but I love that it folds back up more flush with the wall when I don’t need the rod so that it’s less noticeable & my taller friends wont be at risk of running into it when it’s empty/up.The only reason I gave 4 Stars & not 5 is because this rod is not designed to allow a drill to help with install due to the Rod’s location in relation to the screw holes; it creates an impossible angle for a drill to fit into- even the screwdrivers don’t have a convenient path. The area that was best for me to hang this had a solid wood stud behind it, so using only a screwdriver wasn’t going to work. The instructions assume you’re installing into drywall and give you anchors for that, but if you’re installing into solid wood backing, you’ll have a challenge ahead of you.You’ll have to use the rod to mark the location of it's screw holes on the wall, then set the rod down, pick up a drill & your provided screw to pre-drill your holes to the full length of the screw & then remove them slowly to prevent stripping the hole. Once you’ve done that, you’ll put the base of the rod up to the pre-drilled holes & use a regular screwdriver to screw the screws back in. The hook is kinda heavy & you’re probably hanging this above your head, so holding the rod above you while keeping that hand out of the way + screwing it in manually with the other hand gets pretty difficult. Even though the holes were pre-drilled, the screwdriver still required some decent manual force which was hard to keep while holding the rod still with the other hand, especially since the angle of rod itself gets in your screwdriver’s way, so it’s easy to lose tension on the screw and hard to keep the base still/straight.While doing the top screw, you can make-do with a shorter screwdriver, but you absolutely need a long screwdriver to get the bottom screw in.Throughout this process my muscles were burning, my hands were cramping, and I was sweating trying to install this 1 single rod. I expected it to take a max of 20min to install, but it ended up taking about an hour.Aside from installation being a pain, the rod is great quality and I feel like it offers a lot of benefits for me, so I’m glad I went through the trouble.

Strong and good looking. I was able to hang four jackets in a space that previously was wasted. A nice addition to my closet.
