Pacifica Set & Protect Matte Sheer Setting Mist SPF 45, Clear, 4 Fl Oz

Attempting to get my husband to wear daily sun protection, and as we all know, the most effective sunscreen is the one you use everyday. So I bought this for the convenience of a spray on sunscreen I thought he would be more likely to use if he didn't have to get his hands covered in lotion for application. I also needed to replace the Neutrogena spray facial sunscreen we used previously because it was recalled. After several days of use, noticed my husband was still getting sunburned on his face if he did not put on traditional lotion-type sunscreen first thing in the morning. So can't use this right off the bat for primary use. For reapplication during the day, it appears to maintain sun protection as long as you start with a lotion. It is very easy to spray on and goes on lightly without drips, though I have noticed my mascara will smear a little bit as the day wears on. My husband's main feedback is that he is happy it doesn't burn his eyes (Sun Bum and Neutrogena facial SPF mists both stung his eyes). For the convenience factor, I will happily overlook the minor makeup smears to stay SPF protected throughout the day for both me and my husband as he uses it without prompting from me. For now, will continue to buy.

It's a good price and what we're all looking for - easy, fast, over makeup not too- heavy protection that you don't have to rub in as another layer. However in my opinion the scent is so strong it is almost unusable on my face. It says citrus but I just smell that intense sunscreen scent. I don't know how other brands can mask it but some can - maybe it's the type of SPF. I haven't checked to see if it seals makeup yet.I'd also prefer more of a mist when pump is pressed - it's a pretty thin stream. I won't waste this but may end up using it on arms and hands mostly.

The Pacifica Beauty Set & Protect Matte Sheer Setting Mist SPF 45 is an excellent dual-purpose product. It not only sets makeup but also provides considerable sun protection. However, the scent might not appeal to everyone.

I really, really wanted to love this. But it’s definitely NOT matte finish. It turned my face into a shiny mirror and caused my powder foundation to settle into my expression lines. Definitely not an attractive look.Update 6/27/23I’ve updated my rating from 2 stars to 4 after using this multiple times for sun protection on a makeup free face. It’s definitely very effective. It has a nice even mist, dries quickly, and the smell is light and not overpowering. Best of all, my nose has escaped its usual beach day sunburns.

Live in Texas where it's HOT and makeup melts away - this has been really helpful! Refreshing and keeps things from melting so much, the smell could be a little more fragrant bit good stuff.
