I got this because I wanted the ombre look and a way to strengthen my nails while they grow out. I just tried a week of full coverage nail tips and now I'm trying these. They are definitely thicker but I'm not convinced they are as strong. They felt like crayons until they got the top coat.I added a layer of builder gel on top because I'm not gentle on nails. We will see how they hold up.A couple notes about this kit-The slip solution is a very small bottle. It evaporates and I ended up using half the bottle in the first use.The nail molds are big even for me. I was surprised to see the smallest nail was too big for my pinky.The directions say to spread the gel out before putting it on your nail. That was a mess and I found it much easier to create a large bead at the top and roll it down the nail in the mold. I don't use acrylic but I really like this as a way to change up your nail shape without tips and tons of filing.

The first night, it took 6 hours. After that six hours I was tired so I went to bed and woke up with 2 nails missing. I soaked them off the next night after work and tried everything all over again. So far, we’re doing alright but it hasn’t been 24 hours yet. I also want to mention that you have to cure the first coat then apply a second coat just so it’s not as sheer. It’s a process. The good thing is that the second night (in a row) of doing this it only took 3 hours. 🙃 yay. It’s okay if you’re wanting to cut costs of going to get your nails done. But worth it? I don’t know yet.

I painted over them with my favorite gel polish. This picture was taken a week after I did my nails. It's holding up great and I have my hands in water all day long. You have to play with it a little bit at first to see how it works and to line up the tips with the cuticles and everything but once you figure it out this is great. Just practice because the product is wonderful if you're not happy with the way your nails come out it's because you need more practice. Just hang in there!

The brush came apart in two uses. I'm also not crazy about this particular polygel's texture. It is very solid before applying the slip solution (more so than other brands I've tried). The colors are nice, but I honestly wish I would've returned it rather than used it...

It is very hard to use and the molds do not have a good size range.
