First, thanks to Karen's Boutique for the speedy shipping and helpful information.Now the clock is fantastic. The chime is excellent. You'll find the tones outweigh the clock's tiny size. Another unlisted feature is the day/night chime mode which is great.Setup was easy. The only temperamental part is getting the pendulum set to keep accurate time.The clock is quiet in operation. Reading with it in the room is not a problem. The chime fills the room perfectly.If you want a clock that can make an heirloom and give great value, Hermle has done it well here.

Excellent! I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The sound is soft and I like that it doesn't beat at the night. It reminds me my childhood. Thanks to all who worked to make this wonderful clock.

I was nervous ordering this item as it had poor reviews, although they were mainly poor reviews of delivery time rather than the product itself. I am totally blown away by the quality of this clock.Firstly, delivery was fine. The box was high quality and the clock was very well packaged and had lots or internal packaging to keep the moving parts safe.The wood is high quality. The dial is a light cream colour. The clock is attached to the wall with one central anchoring point (no screws provided, but a good screw or large nail would be fine).Easy to set up, add the pendulum and wind it and go! As with any clock, it's accuracy will be off until you have adjusted the pendulum, but so far, it's close enough.There are three things to wind (hands, chimes, hours). The key is high quality and feels soooooo good to wind. You cannot over wind (unless you force it I guess).There is a lever to turn all chimes off, and also the best thing ever.... a setting that stops it chiming from 10pm to 7am. This setting is not adjustable (in terms of hours) but either on or off. I was unaware this clock would have this setting. It is therefore on a 24 hour system, so trial and error will find out if it will chime at 11am.I am totally in love with this, and fully recommend. It looks lovely, sounds homely, and exceeded my expectations by a long way. I paid £220 inc delivery and I'm thrilled.
