Powerful and quiet and lights up what you're mixing
Every once in a while, you get a gadget that is, like, the ultimate tool for the job. This is it. Quiet, powerful motor. It adjusts to keep its speed when it gets a little bogged down by thick stuff. The beaters are very sturdy and work great with cookie dough, and the additional whisk and dough-kneaders are good. The rubber coatings on the bottom of the beaters keep them from scratching up your bowls. The light is a nice feature. The timer on the display is useful too. I guess it could only be better if it also changed the TV channel. It's a little pricey, but I feel like this is probably my "forever" mixer. Definitely would buy again.

Great mixer
Great replacement for my last hand mixer that died. I appreciate the silicone-coated beater - much less racket! I've use all three beaters for various things and all work well. I like the design - the thumbwheel for speed adjustment works well, and I like an on/off button. Beaters insert and pop out easily. The light is a great upgrade from my last mixer. All parts store nicely in the provided container. Well designed and pleasant to use.

The Best Hand Mixer!
Powerful, quiet, and extremely versatile. I use it for shredding meat, mixing small batches, and even kneading dough. The speed wheel, built-in light, and quick-eject attachments make it very easy to use and clean. Pricey, but 100% worth it.

Costs more but worth every penny.
Best blender we have ever purchased. Unbelievably quiet and ver powerful. This one will not burn out as have the cheaper ones we have owned. This mixer is worth the extra money. It provides total satisfaction for a handheld mixer. Unusual quality in today's world where a higher cost does not always deliver a better product. This mixer breaks that trend.

Worth every penny! Forget Kitchenaid
I never write a review on things I've just received, but I'm making an exception for the Breville hand mixer. The Breville is the #1 recommended hand mixer on the internet. But given its price, it wasn't my first choice. I'm 63 years old. I believe in buying the best that you can afford. You'll save money in the long run. For instance, my cookware is solid, multilayered, stainless steel. It'll last my lifetime. I apply this philosophy to everything, researching each purchase beforehand. But, the Breville at $150, seemed awfully expensive for a hand mixer. I've been through 3 Kitchenaid hand mixers. My first one lasted 20+ years. The second lasted 2 years, but was the classic 5 speed, so I bought the digital 9 speed, 5 years ago. It started vibrating an awful lot a year ago, and it finally through a beater out while I was making whipped cream, a bad sign. Kitchenaid has gone downhill since Whirlpool bought it. Determined to avoid Kitchenaid, I went to online, professional reviews. The vast majority graded Breville as #1. I had no doubt about the quality, since I own 2 other Breville appliances. But, the $150 price tag about made me gag. I made a huge mistake by buying a Hamilton Beach "professional" hand mixer. With a 1.3 amp DC motor, it should have been more powerful than the .8 amp Kitchenaid mixer. It wasn't. It not only was slower at the highest speed, I easily stopped the beaters by putting my hand on them while the mixer was on speed 1 (I can't do that with the Kitchenaid). It went back. Mixer #2 should have been a great mixer. I bought a Braun MultiMix. At 350 watts, it's the most powerful one of the bunch. It's made by Braun in Romania. I really liked it, that is until it threw one of the beaters into the bowl while I was mixing cake batter. It started vibrating badly, indicating it was out of balance. At first, I requested a replacement from Amazon, but changed my mind after thinking about it. The Brawn was almost $100. A Kitchenaid 9 speed is $110. I decided to pony up the money for the Breville. Just the heft of the box told me that the build must be very good. The Breville outweighs all of the other mixers. I'm disabled and I've just had rotator cuff surgery, but I had no problems handling the mixer. It's very balanced, with the weight being over the beaters. It's whisper quiet. The light is a welcome addition and lights up what's being mixed very nicely. The beaters fit nicely in the unit; they don't clank or hit each other, even at high speed. Pushing the speed wheel put it into turbo, which is speed 9. The up counting timer is a welcome feature for timed beating. You simply know that you're holding and using a quality appliance from the get-go. I made some old fashioned peanut butter fudge from my grandmother's recipe (the cooker kind). The secret to good fudge is in the beating at the end. Grandmother did it by hand. I use a hand mixer. Fudge turns heavy and stiff, so weak mixers won't work. The Breville didn't slow down or react at all. This is a minor test of the Breville. It's late today. Tomorrow I'm going to make real Bavarian soft pretzels. I usually make bread in my stand mixer, but I'm going to make it with the Breville and dough hooks. I'll update this review. So far, I don't regret spending the extra money OM this mixer, if it lasts as long as my other Breville appliances.

DO NOT BUY!
I have had this mixer for 5 months, and one of the beaters broke and became completely unusable. For what I paid for this, I expected better quality. I had a Hamilton Beach mixer for over 30 years that finally gave up, so I thought I would splurge on a “better” mixer. I should have stayed with a brand I knew would last. Edited on 2/28/26 I've had to drop my rating to one star. If I could leave no stars, I would. I have tried and tried to contact Breville support to no avail. Their support is NONEXISTENT. There's no one home. I've tried online, but I keep getting the message to change my password. I tracked down an email address only to have my email bounce back because that address is not being monitored! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BREVILLE. This is not my first go-round with them. I had a Beville Tea Maker, but I had broken the kettle. It was out of warranty, and I attempted to purchase just the kettle, only to find out that it didn't offer just the kettle. I would have to purchase the whole unit if I wanted a new kettle! I can't say this enough. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BREVILLE! THEY CHARGE TOO MUCH AND OFFER NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Powerful Workhorse for the Kitchen.
Love everything about this mixer. Worried about the silicone covering on the beaters. Tried to buy replacements, not in stock. Hopefully this means they are working on the problem. Love its power, light, beaters. It is a workhorse for a hand mixer. I have the KA battery hand mixer, bought silicone coated beaters for it. They work well. The Breville handy mixer is top of the line. I love how I can keep attachments in the holder and the mixer attaches on top. Neat and Tidy. My coloe is ok , would have liked the red or sea salt but not available. Installs easily, powerful, pretty color, And a long enough cord to facilitate use. Great gift, gteat addition to any kitchen.

Im not a huge baker but I like to have quality tools when I do bake! I am totally impress! I’ve used it twice. Last time it was for mash potatoes. Never had such fluffy mash potatoes in my life!!! It’s sturdy, beautiful and very well made. I love the pull out ring for the « blades » also reproduce for the electric cord! Brilliant! The light is a very nice add on. And the electronic timer should help greatly when instruction gives you a duration for « beating » .

My old faithful Braun mixer finally gave it up so, after much research, I finally landed on this Breville mixer. It is a lot more powerful than what I had previously so took some getting used to, but it is fairly lightweight, quiet and very easy to change the speed. The scraper beaters do a great job (but you do have to be careful - I covered my counter and backsplash with whipped cream) and they have held up well. The mixing light is actually more helpful than I expected I love the storage compartment so everything is together in a compact space. Overall a great buy.
