Brilliant practical examples
Having previously read and reviewed the companion book, "C# 11 and .NET 7 – Modern Cross-Platform Development Fundamentals, 7E" by Mark Price, I suspected this book would also be an impressive collection of knowledge around the latest features of .NET, and it is!As Mark says in the book, "The best way to learn how to build apps and services with .NET is to work on real projects that you would use yourself or that at least spark an interest in you." As someone who has been a professional software developer for over 20 years, I completely agree with this, and this book is a great way to learn how to use those apps and services with .NET 7.Working through the projects in the book are easy to follow; instructions are clearly described with screenshots, and code snippets are provided. I've followed several so far and everything has worked as expected.Practical exercises at the end of chapters to test your knowledge work well for me, and often get me researching topics further.Having a Discord channel for the book to share ideas, discuss potential solutions, and get help from fellow readers is a great idea as a way to promote your abilities. There are also other nice touches like how to use an analyzer to write better code, and where to go for help.I would highly recommend this book if using apps and services with .NET 7 is of interest to you.

An excellent book to take your knowledge a step further
My background - currently a software development manager following a near 20 year coding career. Having not coded commercially for about 8 years my .net skills are more than a little rusty. Last year I bought the author's .NET 6 / C# 10 book as a way of getting my knowledge a little more current, to refresh my skills a little and get more familiar with the languages my developers are working with. This book, new for this year and a more 'formal' and fleshed out version of a companion PDF that was included with last year's .NET 6 / C# 10 book takes things one step further. Building on the C# / .NET knowledge you already know this book introduces some of the more advanced concepts of modern-day development that you're likely to use in the real world, from building microservices using gRPC to using the new .NET MAUI features to build cross-platform mobile and desktop apps. Each chapter has plenty of practical exercises for you to work through to gain experience and knowledge. You don't have to read this book sequentially - as long as you have a solid foundation in C# development you can attack whichever chapter and technology you're most interested in at the time you're interested in it, however at the end of the book there is a 'do it yourself' project styled around creating a survey platform using the technologies that were introduced throughout the book. This is a clever addition, as frequently when working through books of this nature you're left with an 'ok, I've learned all the theory, now what' feeling and by the time you come to put any of it in to practice you've forgotten what it was you learned! There are bound to be a few errata in the book - implementations change, bugs are introduced as new releases of frameworks emerge etc. The author maintains a GitHub repository which not only contains the code for the various lectures, but where he also accepts and responds to feedback, providing advice and updating the list of errata in a timely and helpful fashionTL;DR; All in all, if you already have a solid foundation of C# development, or if you're coming from one of the author's prior C# / .NET books then this is an excellent, practical followup that introduces some more advanced concepts you're likely to experience in real-world app development. Recommended.

Freakin' Awesome
Only half way through the book - picking it up as the workload allows - every chapter yields nuggets of wisdom and fresh perspectives in a very accessible style. Mark J Price does not disappoint!

Ganz gut
Leider werden die Themen oft nur benannt und meist mit einem Beispiel kurz erläutert. Es hilft einem dabei die Begriffe zu kennen nach denen man im Internet suchen muss/könnte
