We just got a 2009 Coachmen Chaparral for a really good price because it needs some work. One of the things was that the bedroom slide wouldn't move. After finding out that it was the plastic gear that had stripped out, I wasn't able to find it and bought this to replace the entire part. It bolted right in and within minutes, I had it wired up and the slide working again. Not too bad for the price, compared to others and the part fit exactly and works well.

Once installed the motor worked great. Obviously it wasn’t a simple Instal. Save the T-pin from your old motor. I had to swap them out as the pin on this motor was a little too long. But after the adjustment the motor went in smoothly. Wires were a heavier gauge so I have to get different connectors. Motor is strong a works as it should.

Don’t buy this product gears are plastic and stripe out. We bought one in November 2023 and it has failed. Also good luck contacting seller I have tried and tried and tried with no luck!!!

This is a sturdy motor, it is better than the one that was installed by the manufacturer. It is priced right and it is a perfect fit.

Didnt need. Not the issue with our camper slide. Returned.

Was a little skeptical reading some of the reviews, but for right now this motor/actuator seems smoother than the original. Some of the comments regarding plastic gear concerned me, but the stock motor/actuator has them as well (I opened the old one to check it). I would assume that it is pretty standard in the industry. So as of now for the price will give it 5 stars...more to follow if something goes wrong...I had an RV mechanic install it for me.

This product was a direct replacement for our defective LR slide out. This product contains plastic gears that are defective and stripped out literally on our second or third activation. The plastic gear material is not nylon, but a light-grade plastic that will not stand up to repeated usage. Since I installed this product at the end of last season, apparently I am not able to return it. Just a friendly warning if you plan to purchase this product.
