These were a surprise gift for my husband. The sizes given were true to standard, and altho they need a bit of a stretch- he has very wide feet - he finds them quite comfortable and attractive. It really is great to find a good quality shoe in the larger sizes.

I've owned several pairs of Roper boots and shoes over the years. For the price, they have all been a pretty decent product, and these shoes are no exception. These shoes are comfortable and, unlike many similar type shoes, have a substantial sole with good tread. I would give them 5-stars for a shoe/boot at their price point, with two exceptions that cost them a rating point: First, as others have noted, these shoes run about a half-size large from true shoe size. I wish that I had ordered mine a half-size smaller. As it is, I must wear heavy boot socks with them. Second, common to another pair of Roper boots that I own, they do scuff easily. Expect them to look scuffed up if you wear them like a work shoe (which is what they are supposed to be) unless you polish them regularly. That said, I would buy them again--just a half-size smaller.

I ordered 1st pair for my dad. It was what he wanted is a true Roper slip on shoe. He has to use special inserts so he has to remove the liners. The shoe tread is same as his old shoes. They did fit a little tight but loosen up after wearing them a few days. He is happy & had me order a 2nd pair because the price was better than our local farm store even on sale. Wished they had in another color for the price we paid. Dad is happy that is what counts

This is my 2nd pair. Very heavy duty. I do a lot of landscaping and use these as outdoor work shoes. They are easier to put on and off than lace up boots but still hold up well when digging in the ground, climbing ladders and walking across wet grass. On the negative side they are somewhat heavy but I assume that is what makes them so rugged. Also the tread on the soles trap dirt but I remove the shoes before coming inside - easy to do with slip-ons. I got a year and half use out of my first pair. They would have lasted longer if I had periodically treated the leather. The stitching did not pull apart.

I have bought and worn this same Roper shoe for many years but never bought a pair online. I received a new pair today that I ordered and everything was perfect!. Received them very quickly and the fit was true to size. Thanks for making this a great! experience.
