These are simple chalkboards on a clip. The chalkboard itself appears to be a very thin coat of chalkboard paint over very cheap wood. I find it difficult to write on the board with chalk (or even a chalk pen, which they don't recommend using-- I've learned why, it doesn't wipe off). Overall, I guess if you only wanted to use these once it might work, but I'm disappointed. I cant write the labels with the traditional chalk, as its too rough of a surface and isn't clear lettering. On the other hand, I can write with the chalk pens, but can never erase them to reuse on a different container. (I purchased to label bins in my kids rooms and closets). I gave 3 stars-- because maybe my expectations were too high.

I loved them ang got a lot of compliments on them. I used them to write name at the table for my birthday. They were easy to put together. Erase well and came with the chalk. I would definitely purchase again if needed. They are cute

I bought two sets of these to use as food signs for the buffet at an event. They are sturdy, super cute and very easy to assemble. Only issue was one set was missing the chalk. Not really a big deal but I did mention it. The seller was apologetic and very professional and made it right immediately no questions asked! They even followed up to make sure my replacement order was perfect. I felt they really wanted me to be happy with my buying experience. Truly a great value and excellent customer service!! I would definitely buy this and other products from this seller again.

Even after washing with soap I was able to read what was written on it previously. But my purpose of buying these would be achieved. I would not recommend using liquid chalk markers as they stain the wood and will not come off. Stick to the chalk that is set int he package or any regular chalk .

Perfect little price signs for my holiday pop up shop. They were too small for me to write with chalk, so I used the chalk markers, which looked great. Need water or cleaning spray to clean them up but they look great after cleaning, ready for reuse

I coordinated a pot luck at a campground for 50 people. These mini chalkboards were a hit! How many times do you go to a pot luck and have no idea what something is on the table??!! These worked perfectly and everyone commented on how all pot lucks should have them. They came with chalk and an eraser. It added a little "touch" to a somewhat ordinary potluck.

It's a pretty cheap product. The wood is very thin, it could have used some sanding on the edges as it was splintering. The chalkboard surface isn't very good so I painted over it with chalkboard paint. It's alright if you don't feel like making the entire thing diy.

Great way to label things for parties and buffets. It comes with chalk, boards and eraser. The chalk was all broken when it arrived but still usable. The boards are easy to write on and they erase off with a some rubbing with the eraser, the picture with the eraser are the ones that were erased using the eraser. The boards are wooden pieces with clothes pins attached so either you can clip them or stand them up.

Lovely chalk board, tad bit smaller than I expected but they are still really nice and cant wait to use them at our special day

Good value I guess, but the rectangle ones don't seem to be proper chalkboards! The fancier ones are just fine though.
