Lag free.
I've used every way to extend an HDMI signal I think that there is. If the goal is convenience, wireless is the way to go. But it has inherent trade-offs, such as being laggy, and of course is subject to interference. But when you want lag-free, latency-free performance, fiber is the best way to go. I tested this both with a movie as well as a computer. It works brilliantly with both, and you wouldn't know the difference between the fiber connection and a direct HDMI connection.Of course, you will need to provide your own cables. Luckily, fiber optic cables are relatively cheap, and Amazon happens to sell a plethora of them. They even sell the equipment to make your own custom length fiber cables if you're so inclined. But whatever you do, you WILL need cables.Overall, my only complaint is the use of...ack...micro USB ports instead of USB C ports. I felt for a moment like Indiana Jones blowing the dust off some ancient artifact, unseen by human eyes for 1,000 years. A strong exhale of breath, a cloud of dust, and...what's that? Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics? A map to the Ark of the Covenant? No, something older...something MUCH older...a micro USB PORT!*Cue dramatic musical score*Ok, maybe micro USB isn't THAT old. But it still makes me sad to see it.To wrap it all up, it works great, but uses slightly...dated technology, and it's BYOC (Bring Your Own Cables). 4 stars.

Compact transmitter and receiver
This HDMI extender from Elenzk is the solution when you need to push HDMI over a very great distance, in this case up to 300m (984 ft). The receiver and transmitter are connected via OM3 fiber cable. The quality of video over the device is excellent. The only negative I had with this transmitter/receiver combo is the fact that micro-USB is used for the power connection. Any device with micro-USB connections automatically loses one star in my reviews as this standard should be completely dead.
