The size of this bulb is very close to the typical LED light bulb we normal use in a table lamp, so I'm happy that it can fit in both a table lamp as well as the ceiling lamp. This light can be used a regular LED bulb (mount in the lamp socket just as you would a regular bulb) on a daily basis. What's amazing is that this bulb can keep on for hours during power outages, I tested by flipping off the power breaker and then turn on the switch of the lamp, the bulb continues to light on for hours. I feel this bulb will be very handy for camping or outdoor events. I tried to light it up with just my fingers, simple touching the base and the threads of the bulb, your finger work as a conductor and the bulb will light on, I played it for kids as a cool trick. But it is more convenient when I use a cap. When I put on the cap, there is a button which I can push to turn it on. Compared to other types of emergency lighting, this one offers a unique advantage, it can illuminate a wide range of space, rather than just projecting a light beam. This guarantees more safety as you would see all of the surroundings if you are in the dark. I would totally use it as a moving lamp when I need to, it is a very portable, light weight, safe and versatile.UPDATE: there are a few key things which may be important for users. This bulb has to stay in a closed circuit in order to light on. For example, when I put it in a regular lamp and turn on the switch, it will turn on even when there is no power. Just make sure that the switch is at the "ON" status. If you turn off the switch, the bulb will turn off just like a normal bulb because the lamp is no longer in a closed circuit status. Similarly, when I use fingers to light up the bulb, my fingers create a closed circuit and the bulb can turn on. Another thing I noticed is that these bulbs may not work in the multi-socket fixtures (in my bathroom where there are an array of bulb cups above the mirror), when I put in just one bulb in the socket, it will work as intended, but when I put two bulbs in the same multi-socket fixture, there is always one bulb which won't turn off, seems like some compatibility issue. Anyways, for contingency purposes there is really no need to put two bulbs in one multi-socket arrays so I simply put in one of such bulbs and used the regular LED bulbs in other sockets.

Wow, I cannot believe this light bulb works this great without power. Very affordable as well. It’s amazing!I definitely recommend this product.

I like these for those times when a lightbulb is needed but the closest outlet is 40 ft. away. Great in battery charge and brightness.

I had a chance to use these in a45 minute power outage recently. They worked as advertised. At a$9 for 4 these are as cheap as non battery back up LED. Can't go too wrong at that price.

I don't know how they can tell the difference between a switch off and power outage, but they do. With the switch off, they are off - regardless. Turn the switch on, and the light comes on when the power is on and even when the power is out. If the switch is already on when you lose power, they briefly blink but stay on. Really great. We loose power here often, and now I have bright light for hours.

I bought 10 emergency lightbulbs from this seller. 3 of them only worked when plugged. As soon as energy is not present, they go off (thus, they are useless). These were 2000 mAh battery-powered units and they last like 1000 mAh ones. Light color is not completely white (64000 kelvins). They are a little bit yellowish (50000 k) and they dim around 20 min to 1 hour after being fully charged. They must be on to charge. They -the ones that worked- could provide up to 2 hours max of light in absolute darkness. A true 2000 mAh battery should last 3 hours.Positive things to say: they are made from fair quality materials, they also include a lamp extension that could act as a handle to use it as a torch. They also included a (black button) switch on the socket, so you can turn it on / off with ease. The socket comes with a hanger, which is also appreciated.Not included in the pictures, it also comes with jumpers. A jumper is nothing but a cube of plastic that joins the two cable contacts, in case you want to use your emergency bulb in a lamp. You can unplug the living room lamp from the wall and take it with you to the backyard. Just make sure to plug the lamp cord into the jumper to close the circuit and make it shine.

I really like having these for when the electric goes out. It is very nice to have a source of light. You just have to remember to keep them in a light or charged so when the power does go out, you can just pull them out and use them.

See title. It is a mediocre lightbulb. The brightness seems to fade in/out a little bit but overall it provides a normal amount of light.Normally it would still rate 3 or 4. But when I say it's a mediocre lightbulb I mean it literally as a lightbulb. It does not function in any capacity as a rechargeable lightbulb, which is what I paid for.0/10 - no rechargeable capabilities. Functions as nothing more than a regular light bulb.
