Contigo Autoseal Madison Replacement Water Bottle Lid - Black/Gray

These lids tend to break because screwing them onto the bottle can be difficult and they more often than not, spin off and fall on the ground and become damaged. I bought 2 replacement lids, which fit my now extinct version of this water bottle, because the bottles were still usable and I saw no reason to toss them into a recycler and buy new ones. But, these replacement lids cost nearly as much as the entire bottle and lid did when I initially purchased them from another retailer! (Sort of how the printer industry robs you when you buy ink replacements!). The original lids had broken plastic pieces inside of them that were coming off and causing the bottle to leak water every time I’d tip it take a drink from, I’m assuming from being dropped multiple times while trying to screw it onto the bottle. It takes two hands and lots of concentration so as not to spin the top off the bottle when putting it on. A big design flaw that many other users have noted on their reviews too. I should add that I also ended up buying two newer versions of this bottle and the lids are made slightly better, so they don’t slide off as easily as this version does and the new bottles have a wider opening too, so fitting larger ice cubes into the bottle is less cumbersome than with this bottle version. Overall, if you’re concerned about the environment and looking for just replacement lids to go your bottle, these are them, but be prepared for some sticker shock when you compare prices for an entirely new bottle and lid versus just the price of a replacement lid!

My husband got a contigo bottle from his company and gave it to me. Best water bottle I have ever owned; wen I accidentally dropped it and broke the lid, I honestly got sad thinking I would have to replace such an amazing water bottle bc the auto seal lid is the BEST feature. So when I found the lid on Amazon I was ecstatic. The price for the lid is the only negative. Kind of sucks to pay for a lid that costs about the same as a new bottle with lid. But after a few months without the lid and missing my bottle that traveled with me every where. I’m glad I bit the bullet. Shipping was quick n product is exactly the same as the original lid. So I’m happy to have my favorite gift from my hubby back in use....still pricing is my one negative factor.

This replacement cap fits my Contigo Madison 24 oz water bottle perfectly. I have a sentimental attachment to this particular water bottle, and was disappointed when the original cover cracked and started leaking after being dropped on the pavement. The replacement cap, while as expensive as a whole new water bottle, has extended the life of my favorite water bottle.

I love this lid. I bought it to replace the lid of the water bottle I had which broke when I dropped my water bottle accidentally head on. They don't sell water bottles with this type of lid anymore. I'm glad I found this emplacement at Amazon. It is so easy to use. Just press a button and the water flows freely. No need to suck. No need to open the bottle. Release the button and it stops right away. The handle attached to the lid makes it easy to carry. My only complaint is it it only comes in black. It's a good thing I have a gray water bottle that goes well with it.

This is a good Contigo replacement lid. Unfortunately, it was too small for the Contigo bottle I bought it for but it did fit a different one so it was not a complete loss. Still a great product, just make sure you have the bottle it was made for.

It is supposed to fit all Contigo AUTOSEAL Madison Water Bottle but it did not fit my bottle as described. I've tried it on grace bottle as well and it didn't fit either. Now in order to return, I have to pay for shipping.

Great replacement for lids that broke. The Contigo autoseal water bottles are the best for me and great to get some replacements for some that were broken. They fit onto the bottles perfectly. Thanks for making them available.

The top fit our older 32 oz contigo bottle perfectly. The original top started to leak at the bottom so we bought this in the hope that we didn't have to buy a whole new bottle. Looks just like the old top and the button actually has a smoother motion than the old lid as well!
