If you like to monitor from a distance, this device works perfectly on Wi-Fi. I recommended.

Remote reading
It worked well, able to set temperature range for notifications and instant temperature reading. There is also a history event on the app.

Mine died after it mandated a firmware update in the app.
It worked for my camper fridge, but the happiness was short lived. I installed it in my camper to monitor the fridge and ambient temp. Installed it in November and late January or early February the app showed an update and it went through with the update. The update bricked the unit and killed it. I was remote when the update happened and when I finally got to the camper, I tried to reset, turn off / on re-connect but the unit is dead.

It works....
I bought these for my two chest freezers. The wifi setup was easy and they work. However, I would not recommend these for a freezer because once it reaches the lower temperature limit(-2.3F), the probe quits working and it reads the outside temp instead. Freezers are supposed to stay at zero degrees farenheight or below. I was hoping that it would just hold the lowest temp. This product would be better if the lower temperature limit was lower. If your using it for temps above -2.3 F, it should work fine.

Loosing wifi connection, battery doesn't work, not very accurate
This device had all the things I needed for my project. It had an external power supply (so no empty batteries), external temperature sensor, wifi and Tuya (I use tinytuya to read temperature).The temperature with external sensor was really off (+5 F). I calibrated it for 71F but it is still very off at 80F (+3F). So it is impossible to calibrate for the whole temperature range. Still this was no deal breaker for me.The device reports that the internal battery is full, but if I unplug power, it goes off immediately. Also no deal breaker as I want to keep it on power 27/7The 2nd night I lost wifi and the backlight was off. I had no other option to power cycle the device. THIS IS A DEAL BREAKER FOR ME. I will return this device

Don’t buy
It doesn’t stay connected to the Wi-Fi when you finally get it to connect. It has to be charged everyday, it lasts about 15 hours. I have to exit out and go back into the app to get it to reset the new information. It makes tracking temp and humidity very difficult, doesn’t seem very accurate either
