I have not been able to find my favorite Kenneth Cole Gentle Souls Mary Janes. I wore those until the right started to split from the soul. I worked in them everyday as a preschool teacher and they took a lot of abuse. I have tried everything. Today I got these Camper shoes in black. As soon as I opened the box I knew I had a winner. I put them on and they have more support than the Gentle Souls. Just make sure you size up. I wear a 9 and I got a 10 and it is perfect. Also, I did the try before you buy so it was risk free.

This camper shoe is really cute and very comfortable. BUT, the shoe gets dirty easily and they don't clean up well, either. The leather seems to just absorb grit and grime. The dye on the wide elastic strap across the shoe gets dirty too and the dyes seems to fade where I gently try to clean a spot of dirt off. I would never purchase this shoe, again.

On the photo the shoes look like a sunflower yellow to me, the real colour is a much dulle ochre instead, like those classic Caterpillar boots with ochre leather. It’s fine with me though as the shoes are ultra comfortable. They can even be worn without socks. I had tried on these shoes in an actual store first, but they didn’t have a colour I liked. I found out in the store that with this model 41 fits me better than 40, which is odd. I normally buy either 39 or 40.

They're so elegant and simple, they go with everything. Even my size is on the tight side but they fit ok.
