My chiropractor told me to lay with a rolled towel under my neck 10 minutes at a time to help restore my neck curvature. It is difficult to find the right circumference with the towel, so I searched Amazon looking for a neck roll and found this stretcher that looked well-designed for the purpose.When using this pillow, I get a nice curve, and my airway feels more open. That’s how I know it has the right amount of stretch.I highly recommend this pillow for military neck. During a session, I use it in both directions for a smaller than bigger stretch. I also use it positioned where it feels most natural and a little further down so that I get more of a stretch and feel it into the top of my back.This stretcher is great. I’d love to see an option or cover that provided heat and/or stim.

I have scoliosis, I wore a back brace for ten years. I’m getting a neck hump and needed neck support to correct the slouch. It works! It feels like a massage, I sleep with it throughout the night, even my daughter loved it and she is five. I feel my neck higher during the day and even my back cracks when lay on it and when I stand in the day. My only regret is I didn’t purchase this sooner

I bought this for my son that suffers from TMJ. He said it seemed to be helping his TMJ and his neck was feeling better. Then his doggy broke out of his crate and decided it made a nice chew toy. So, I guess it's son and granddog approved!

This does not come with instructions and it is actually not what I expected. I expected a white cervical pillow but this is a white cervical neck stretcher that feels like a soft pillow.  The white pillow shown in the Amazon photo is actually covered by a pillowcase that can be washed. I just wedged the low side under my neck and laid my head back to relax. It was very comfortable and did help ease some pain.  The current price of $16.19 ($17.99 minus 10%) is competitively priced for this item. I woke up about a year ago with neck pain. After trying everything I could think of, I went to a chiropractor. His adjustments were helping me and he gave me a similar exercise that this helps one perform. He had me roll up a towel, lay on the floor, and then put it under my upper back so that my neck was hanging back. As a result, I have been trying various devices. This is one of several that work for me.These are all the neck solutions I tried. The bottom grips help a little. - Removeable cover makes for easy washing. - Fabric material is so-so. ~ ~ NITTY-GRITTY DETAILSI'm on a computer much of my day and can't get enough of things that help my neck or back feel better. This neck stretching pillow does okay for that. It's a bit small for my liking; something longer would help for those nights where I'm tossing & turning, because while the little bumps give it some grip, it's still not terribly hard to displace. Though, the listing does mention it's not meant for overnight use.I ordered mine 'soft' and it's plenty firm - not quite hard but not really a 'neck cloud'. It's just about right for me, but if you're expecting something cushy it may not meet your expectations.The massage nubs aren't too bad but they were hard for me to notice much. That said after a few minutes laying down it DID feel like my neck had some relief.The best thing to me though is the removeable cover. This should make the inevitable wash painless. And the zipper line is truly difficult to spot unless you're looking for it. Maybe the only thing they should've included is washing instructions. Like, is it bleach tolerant? hand-wash only? those things. But when in doubt, cold water, gentle setting, no bleach or harsh cleaners.One last minor note. It smelled fresh when I got it out. Like it had already been washed (and maybe it had been, before packing?). It may be the only time I've unboxed something and it did.Overall I'm happy with it, I just wish it were a pinch bigger. I may put a softer pillowcase over mine too, as the fabric material isn't anything special.
