I HAVE BEEN EATING HONEY FOR ABOUT 5 YEAR'S NOW. Manuka Honey IS THE BEST THERE IS IN THE HONEY FAMILY. Super Life IS THE ONE BRAND I,M GOING TO STICK TO, LOW IN THE SUGAR CONTEND.

Best price for potency
This was the best price per ounce for this potency. We use it medicinally as well as in oatmeal or instead of syrup on oat pancakes. It isn't pourable...much thicker consistency than your standard honey bears, so it has to be spread. It dissolves fine and doesn't crystallize in the amount of time it takes us to use a jar (about two months). It has a strong flavor (I grew up w/ orange blossom honey in FL and think wildflower honey is strong), but that's just manuka from my experience...no stronger than any other.

Excellent, rich taste; OK value for a mono-floral at this MGO/UMF level
While there are health benefits from Manuka honey I eat it for a very simple reason: it tastes great! It has a richer, deeper flavor than run-of-the-mill honey. The flavor varies from brand-to-brand (and even, within the same brand, from season-to-season). I'd rate the taste of this to be on par with other premium Manuka honey brands I've tried.Note that while the product listing states this is a mono-floral honey, it doesn't state that on the container, which is not something I've seen before. Usually the container clearly states if it is mono- or multi-floral.Honey is rated by the MGO (Methylglyoxal) scale which ranges (as best I can recall) from under 50 to over 800. The higher the MGO level the more effective it is as an antibacterial agent, and the higher the cost. The flavor is also more intense as the MGO level increases. This has a 262MGO and a 10+ UMF (with the latter being another type of rating for Manuka honey). That's not a ideal level for therapeutic use, but just fine for eating. The price per ounce is OK, but it's not an outstanding value for a mono-floral at this MGO level. I'd rate the overall value as good but not great. The container I received in December 2022 was manufactured in April 2022 and has a best by date of April 2027.While the lack of confirmation on the product label that this is mono-floral is a bit concerning, I'll still rate this as 4.5 stars (half star down due to the cost vs. value). A good option for a decently high MGO mono-floral that makes for a fine eating honey, and doesn't cost nearly as much as the ultra high MGO Manuka's.

Lower Quality
I bought the larger size (500g) after trying the smaller size (250g) because I was blown away by the quality.BUT… the honey in the larger jar seems spoiled and less potent. And the flavor is off. I wasted money. I’m likely not purchasing this again.Very disappointing.

Better tasting less grainy Manuka than our regular brand
My girlfriend started taking manuka honey earlier this year for its supposed much higher health benefits over other varieties of honey. I love honey too but usually enjoy another variety. Our normal brand of Manuka appears to no longer be available on Amazon so the SuperLife was the next cost effective brand for the quantity and equivalent MGO/UMF level so we decided to try it .I did not like the grainy texture and almost "anti-septic" taste of our previous brand but the SuperLife has a much more pleasant taste. There is still a slight "anti-septic" type flavor but the sweetness level is also much higher making it more enjoyable. The extra sweetness is not from added sugar either. The SuperLife is also much less grainy than our regular brand. I may actually have a spoonful here for myself because the flavor and texture is much better.Unfortunately this brand cost more than twice as much as the old brand for the same quantity and MGO/UMF level and it comes in a plastic jar instead of a glass jar. But I would buy it again if our regular brand remains unavailable.

Superfood
I was not familiar with Manuka honey prior to getting this. A quick Google search turned up some interesting information about this particular type of honey. It apparently has a lot of medicinal properties beyond just being tasty. Some of these are proven and some are not- so take that into consideration as you decide to purchase this product and how you plan to use it.I used this in my homemade granola. It definitely has a different color and consistency from the stuff usually purchase at the big box store. It did work fine in my recipe, but wasn't noticeably better. Since I am not looking to honey as a "wonder drug to cure all my ailments" I probably can't justify the price tag to purchase this again. But I have been on a beekeeping tour so I know A LOT goes into making honey, especially one as specialized as this so the price is not really out of line. Bottom line, if you are set on purchasing Manuka honey, this would be a good choice. It seems very well made and carefully packaged.

Superlife Manuka Honey MGO 262+ 10+ UMF
A product of New Zealand this raw Manuka honey is 10+ UMF 262+ MGO. It is mono-floral so it is pure Manuka and not blended with any other variety. The flavor is unique and so distinctive when consumed it is unmistakable. Descriptions of this delicious complex honey are difficult but I think it has a menthol element—slightly herbal, somewhat less sweet than regular honey and the texture is a bit creamy. The honey is made from nectar from the blossoms of New Zealand’s Manuka plant which in addition to the delectable flavor also contain a measurable level of methylglyoxal which explains the numbers noted above. Anything over 10+ UMF is stated to have some anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral health benefits. If interested in that aspect it is easy to do a search for more information. The jar has a perforated ring cap along with a tight inner seal over the opening so it is arrives fresh and untouched. To estimate shelf-life at the time of this review in December 2022 the Best Before date is 52 months in the future but dates will vary. Excellent.
