After 14 years of 100% reliability from the old Sensaphone dial-up cottage monitors in remote rural settings, it was time to get rid of $70 per month payments to Bell for an otherwise useless landline. As more cottagers installed internet access and WiFi (usually cellular based with low monthly internet data limits, after which charges became outrageous), it was time to test the Sensaphone Sentinel SCD-1200 and dump the Bell landlines.The good news is that the Sentinel SCD-1200 maintains the Sensaphone tradition of reliability and simplicity with a ton of new features. Installation was trouble free and there were no nasty surprises. The best news is that monthly internet data usage is negligible, and will not impact even the stingiest ISP data limits, our biggest concern.Customer support is responsive and knowledgeable, and the few minor points of confusion that I had were immediately cleared up. The product, the online server features, and the customer support all make the price worth it.If I could offer any suggestions for improvement, I would ask for these non-critical items: (1) Faster server update time to changes at the remote location. The changes should be near instantaneous, but can take 20-30 seconds to appear online; (2) An LED to indicate when the relay output is energized; (3) The ability to graph contact input and control output states (separate 1/0 line for each digital I/O) along with analog inputs (such as temperature); and (4) Two control output relays (with LEDs).Sensaphone again proves the superiority of US-based manufacturing and customer support over third-rate products from China with no intelligent customer support.

Replaced my Sensaphone 800. Everything just worked, easy to set up. Love the cloud service with it's tiered alarm options.
