Hisense 126 cm (50 inches) Tornado 2.0 Series 4K Ultra HD Smart LED Google TV 50A7H (Metal Gray)

Bought for 50k INR. 65inch model. Tornado 2.0. At this price point, it provides more value than any other tv in the market as of Q1 2023. It's been a month we've been using it and very satisfied we are, to say the least. If you are not nit-picking, the colours are good, the brightness is very good and the sound is excellent. All this only applies if you can go into the settings and do a slight bit of tweaking to get the optimal outputs based on your preferences and tv positioning.Don't get confused with all the unnecessary stuff reviewers say like peak brightness, true blacks, deep bass and all that. Most users don't realise the difference in all these things when it comes to watching content on tv. It is a good tv, does what it is supposed to do and most importantly, does not make you feel like you wasted money. Period.Special mention must be made of the sound output which I personally found to be better than any other tv in this range. It might sound muffled with the factory settings but like I said, with a bit of tweaking the settings, it was capable enough to replace my Marshall Stanmore, so that's pretty impressive.The remote, although standard, has more useful dedicated app buttons than others. Direct buttons for Netflix, Hotstar, Youtube, Sony Liv, Prime Video and Media(USB). In case the remote is lost or damaged, Google Home can be used as a remote through the app, so that is also taken care of.The TV can natively play mkv files along with the standard mp4, avi, etc. through flash drives(or HDDs) via the USB ports.Dolby Vision enabled and apps run smoothly. Not an ultra smooth experience but no lags either. Direct app switching works ok as well.The connectors are standard and easy to reach, all apps work normally and even casting through chromecast and airplay works like a charm.Comes bundled with table stand and wall mount. Delivery was prompt and open box check was allowed. For installation though, brand was supposed to be intimated by amazon's team post delivery which they failed to do. A call to Hisense's toll free number was however enough for them to send a team the same day to set the tv up at no cost.Check the attached images for how the images on the tv look at an angle with two tube-lights illuminating a 15'x15' room and also with them switched off.EDIT 1: Posting again in Aug 2024, so over 1.5 years and the TV's working excellently. Only issue is the remote whose audio sensor(mic) stopped working after about a year, so voice typing does not work. That apart, no complaints whatsoever.

The media could not be loaded. I escalated the issue at the customer service. Voila they installed within 4 hours of escalation. This is truly appreciable.Now coming to the TV. The TV has nice brightness and plays 4k videos exceptionally well. It has the latest software so recognises 4k and Dolby Atmos and vision on all contents which various OTT provides. My LG TV of 2022 model failed to do so, had to take Amazon fire stick. Sound is also well and plays Dolby Atmos well enough. Remember it costed me only 32k with 5 years warranty. Connected 5.1 home theatre, 2017 model, it's only playing stereo with woofer. TV has eARC yet didn't work. Not sure if it is TV fault or the old home theatre. The built quality of the TV especially the screen panel touching the grey speaker strip at the bottom is worse. The panel literally moves couple of mm. It's better to take 5 years extended warranty if you want to take this TV. Overall at this price the TV is worth it. This TV is best for general watching not for enthusiast, they need to go for OLED or Qled that too of latest model, preferably Google or Android software. Need to see for long-term performance.Delivered on 20th Aug. Technician called a day later, since I was unavailable asked him to come next day. He doesn't come the next day and doesn't answer the call. TV is lying in the corner. The technician expects their customers to answer all their calls on time and would only visit at their convenience but not at customer convenience. So, I suggest if the technician is visiting you, take a leave at your office and wait for him else he will never visit you if you miss his appointment. If installation services are this bad then God knows (even we should know:() how bad their services will be if any problem arises with the TV. So, BOTTOM LINE: DON'T BUY ANY HISENSE (basically nonsense) PRODUCTS UNLESS you have an immense patience like an enlightened one...like Gautham the Budhha...
