I was concerned this was no good at first. But after rudimentary testing i am satisfied. I wish i had paid more attention to the reviews and q and a. I was surprised that the screen only comes on once levels are above about 30ppm. I expected a constant screen. I was also surprised to not have the green light going. Turns out it gives a quick flash every 60 seconds. But i put it about 2 foot out from my tailpipe (of my car..) and remote started it. It wa VERY fast to max out at 999ppm. And after a short time it started dropping quite rapidly clear down to the 70s. At which point i pulled it to fresh air where it dropped below 30ppm and turned off the display. Im satisfied that this will work. It isnt loud and i cant seem to get the "max" value from it like it was supposed to do. But where it was matters less than where it is!

This device is definitely not something you want protecting your house unless you're in a small area. Maybe it would be ok in a one bedroom cabin. It is small - about the size of your fist.That being said, it seems like a good unit. you can check your CO level buy pressing on the button. After a little time, it will turn itself back off to conserve battery. I never hit high CO levels so I don't know if it actually works, but I assume it would. The beep is decently loud, but you're probably not going to hear it 1-2 rooms away.It was perfect for what I bought it for - I used it in a camping tent with a propane heater as a backup CO monitor.

I like to travel- hotels, airbnbs, rental units...a lot of them do NOT have CO detectors and lately I've seen several CO deaths in the news at these places with faulty pool heaters, or other equipment. So I was looking for a small travel CO detector to pack with me for that added peace of mind on vacation. This detector is just bigger than the palm of my hand and came well packaged making it easy to toss in my luggage. Plugged it in and it went through the warm up as indicated and I tested it like I do my smoke alarms- both the indicator lights and voice/alarm work like a charm. Would highly recommend for home, travel etc.

This was purchased to travel with. It is super compact and very small. I didn't realize how small it would be. Perfect for travel. It doesn't seem well made and I have not tested the accuracy of it yet.

Got this product for traveling to an Airbnb in Mexico. We have heard so many stories about people succumbing to carbon monoxide fumes, so I’m hoping that we’re safe and having this with us will be a relief. I was happy that it was small and inexpensive but I hope that we don’t sacrifice quality in the meanwhile, I don’t know of a way to test it

We put this in the garage so we could detect carbon monoxide from our cars. This is accurate and very easy to install. It’s made well and the digital display takes the guesswork out of knowing if there is carbon monoxide in the area or not. This is affordable and may save a life. Great value for the money.

This unit is small like a traveling alarm clock.Very easy to use just insert the batteries after you arrive at your location and press the self test button and your all set
