Powerful, easy to use
I had a cheaper but well rated ultrasonic for years, but it died. I use often so opted for a brand I have seen in jewelry catalogs. It passed the cavitation test. It cleans very well and the controls are easy to use. It has a decent sized basket. It does seem to whirr up and down, which I think (hope) is a function of this transducer and how it is supposed to work otherwise I got a bum one. But so far glasses, stones, and whatever have been super clean coming out with just some soap and vinegar mix. Unlike the pictures. There is no blue light.

Seems to work fine but there are things I don't like....
The unit seems to be well constructed and the tank large enough for most applications. I use it to encapsulated vit C with Lecithin for health applications. What I don't like is the fixed tank. If I could remove it to pour the contents I would have almost no mess but as it is there are no special points to pour and each time it produces a mess. So If I were to design this item, I would make the stainless bowl removable and also the extension cord removable. Otherwise I've had no issues. If I do I'll update this post.

High Quality Sonic Cleaner
This Gemoro does a fantastic job of cleaning anything you can fit into it. However, what I'm most impressed with is the quality of materials and construction. This is the second unit I've purchased and it wasn't because the original unit stopped working. Either my wife or I use the Gemoro at least once per day, 365 days a year. After two and one half years the original ultra-sonic cleaner has become somewhat loud while operating. By loud I mean it's probably twice as loud as when new. We can still hold a normal conversation around it, but it's more noise than I care to listen to for 30 to 45 minutes per day. The original unit has moved to the garage for dirty jobs and the new Gemoro has started its seven day per week job in the house. At this point I would recommend the Gemoro to anyone looking for an ultra-sonic cleaner that will last a reasonable amount of time and perform an excellent cleaning job as well.

Didn't clean my jewelry
Ok, well I'd read that you shouldn't use ultrasonic cleaners on fine jewelry since it can knock out the stones. I wanted something to clean my wedding ring so I asked my jeweler if this was safe to use and was assured that the ultrasonic cleaners sold to the public aren't strong enough to loosen / remove diamonds and other precious stones from jewelry. So I went ahead and ordered it.Honestly, I liked everything about this cleaner - it was loud, but not so loud it's annoying (besides I don't clean jewelry while I sleep lol) . It was easy to use. It's pretty much ready to use right out of the box.So if I'm saying all his good stuff why the 1 star review? Because it simply did not clean my jewelry. I tried using water and dish soap, water and the cleaning solution recommended by the manufacturer and even other ultrasonic cleaning solutions and none of my jewelry looked any different after running it through this machine. And YES, I did read and follow the instructions and yes, I tried running things through multiple cycles. And no, nothing was so dirty that it was more than the machine could handle.

Crap
product wasnt what was described in the description. It didn't have a 30 min timer on it. It only went upto 420 seconds. Poorly built went back the next day. Have orderd another product since and love it

There are better ways
It works fine, but I've been told not to use it too often on diamond rings because it can loosen the stone over time. I found that using a toothbrush with cleaner, then steaming REALLY gets a diamond clean. Amazing difference in clarity & sparkle between that and the Sonic.

Affordable, does the job
I bought this to clean brass cases for reloading. It's the SAME thing Hornady is selling at twice the price. Read that again reloaders: the SAME THING. I've run about 12 billion cases through it and it's purring away like the day it was new. I'd like the timer cycles to last longer since I usually do brass in 3 of the 480 second cycles, but what's a few button pushes to a monotonous, redundant, tedious hobbyist like a reloader? It also cleans my wife's jewelry really well, go figure.

Fantastic cleaner!
Knowing nothing about ultrasonic cleaners, i read a few reviews online and chose this one in April. Bought for the wife to use for her fine jewelry, and it works great. We use it with the Blitz concentrate cleaner - mixed in the recommended quantity - and distilled water. She uses it once/week, and we are still on the first solution mix. ...will change when it appears yuckie.Simple to use, and yields super-clean jewelry.
