As part of a recent electronics project I had planned, I needed some heat shrink tubing to give a durable protective coat onsome soldered connectors.Previously I have purchased lengths of heat shrink, normally by the metre and cut it to size when needed. Although this is very easy to do, I found that I'd need two new sizes (6mm and 10m) and so decided to look for a set of different sizes.I came across this set; I figured 560 pieces would keep me stocked for a while and I'd no longer need to worry about having random lengths of heat shrink in my toolbox. The storage box this comes with is strong and well organised, it's so easy to identify the right width tubing with the size guide printed in the lid.The tubes definitely shrink to half their original size and create a very strong and professional looking bond. So much so I decided to rewire my aftermarket car speakers using this! I feel confident that the seal will last a very long time.Each tube is 45mm long and comes in the following diameters:1mm / 1.5mm / 2mm / 2.5mm / 3mm / 3.5mm / 4mm / 5mm / 6mm / 7mm / 10mm / 13mm.For the price, I feel that this a comprehensive set for any amateur jobs and maybe even professional too!

Usefull

I needed a selection of heat shrink tubing for a project and also have a few future things in mind so I bought this selection. It’s a good mix of sizes and works well but ideally I would have liked a mixture of colours of the same size. Instead there is some large blue, and black but no red so if you are wiring mains it means you can’t always do the sleeves with ‘correct’ colours. Otherwise it’s a good product and if your not worried about colours a good selection for a hobbyist.
