Marigold Vegan Engevita Nutritional Yeast Flakes with Protein & Fibre, 100g (Pack of 6)

I absolutely adore this product.It has been an total life saver since I went Vegan - it is hugely versatile, tastes incredibly delicious (the "cheese" sauce I've made with this is BETTER than any "real" cheese sauce I have had in my life!), its very good for you (its packed with vit. b12), and above all its cheap!I have been using it almost everyday, and I am still (just about) on my first container.Even my non Vegan friends and family love it, and have been asking where they can get some - it is just THAT GOOD!

I have been using this product for over a year now since adopting a plant based eating plan to improve cardiac health and general fitness. I was dubious at first as the name "Nutritional Yeast" isn't exactly enticing ! I found it to be very tasty - it is excellent cooked in sauces and casseroles but my main use of it is sprinkled over pasta dishes. Even meat eating friends have all loved it. The 6 pack is an economical deal.

I am not vegan or vegetairian but i can see how it would be great for adding flavour to these diets. I am losing weight and have redicsovered things like tofu, quorn and quark for healthy low calorie protein that keeps u feeling full for longer. I add either savory or sweet flavorings to these for geat mains or desserts. I have already tried these flakes on tofu along with chillie and soya sauce and put under the grill, yum. Flakes do have nutty cheesy flavour as others have said. 2 heaped dessert spoons - 10g, is 35 calories which is plenty for a tofu snack. The bonus is the added nutritional value.

Doesn't look much, but it goes further than you think. It adds flavour and will thicken any savoury dish, soups, noodles, stews, etc. It's nutritious and as a vegan I add to lots of meals. t adds a slightly salty very savoury taste.

tastes about the same as the one with vitamins added, the colour is lighter, more of a tan/grey than yellow but this does not affect anything really

Brilliant - I have been using this for years as a vegan and could not live without it. It has a great taste similar to cheese and is the best cheese replacement. It's also very versatile as you can make anything and add this to it to add that extra 'cheezy' flavour. I even make my own crackers using nutritional yeast.

We started using this nutritional yeast a few months ago as a substitute for cheese, and we like it a lot.. It is very tasty (cheesy nutty taste that goes nicely with sandwiches..The 6 pack is the best value when you compare it to buying 1 only..Will highly recommend it for its nutritional attributes and for the taste..

I rarely write reviews but I felt compelled to warn people NOT TO BUY this product. It is inferior compared to the same product (in a BLUE package: Engevita Vitamin B12 Yeast Flakes 125 g) that has about 2x the amount of B vitamins per serving and also has Zinc and B12 which this product does NOT have. I normally buy Engevita Vitamin B12 Yeast Flakes and i was running out and saw this version of the product. I bought this by mistake - now i have 6x containers of it this product and Amazon will NOT allow me to return it. BE WARNED
