Hidom 6w Aquarium Adjustable Air Pump Twin Valve HD-605 with Accessories

Very powerful air pump. It works amazingly well in my 200l tank, which my previous and more expensive air pump was struggling to achieve. Two air outlets help with it. It is a bit louder than smaller air pumps but it was to be expected. It's still nothing unbearable if you place it apart from any objects that could rattle against it. It has rubber legs which helps absorb the vibration. You can also lower the intensity so if your aquarium is in your bedroom, you're not going to have any trouble sleeping if you're used to general air pump noise. All the equipment is provided, i.e. good quality air line, two massive air stones and non return valves. It really is a bargain for the price. Easy to set up too. It is meant to work for tanks up to 600l and I find it to be accurate as at the moment it powers two 40 -something cm air tubes which make a great air bubble curtain.

So far I am very pleased with this air pump. It is quiet, powerful and not too bulky. It stays firmly in position when operating on a flat surface and has several convenient features: easy and smooth flow adjustment, a loop for hanging. I have tried it in a hanging position and it operates as well there as when standing on a surface. I can't give it 5 stars simply because I don't yet know how long it will last. It is very competitively priced and because of this I will consider it good value for money if it operates well for a year.

I tend to avoid cheaper products made in China, but this pump really packs a punch. A few reviews on here have said the pump is very loud. The truth is that it's no louder than pumps that cost 3 times as much. I have pumps made by fluval and eheim and they are just as loud as this pump and they aren't as powerful either . It's an absolute bargain for the money

The description says you can ‘enjoy your aquarium in peace and quiet’. Well I bought this to replace a Tetra 400 pump which I thought was quite noisy. This pump is much much worse. I have the air pump in the next room (piped through the wall) so it doesn’t intruded to much into the living room. But the noise with this one is like living in an electricity sub-station. Had to return for a refund. I think I’ll stick with the Tetra. Shame some maunfacturer can’t come up with a truly silent pump. How about a rotary pump rather than these vibrating diaphragms which are bound to generate a buzzing noise?

Great power and silent

I'm in the middle on this one. Good solid strong pump. Heavy and looks well made. Also comes with two big air stones (Balls) tubing, two non return valves and a spliter. So overall I am happy with the pump. However. IT IS VERY LOUD. I'm trying to find ways to muffle the sound. But my goodness is it loud. If the aquarium was where I watch the tv, id have to switch it off. Not sure how to solve this one but the 605 is very loud. Ill keep it as its powerful and has a knob to increase and decrease pressure. Just wish it was quieter

Brilliant air pump and very powerful, it is a bit noisy but not too bad really.I bought this as a cheap temporary quick fix for my pond air stones after my pond one broke over the xmas period of all times, it's running both my pond air stones perfectly so I'm very impressed and would highly recommend.

Great air pump with two air outlets, I have two air curtains connected and get good pressure.
