Chan has developed a unique method of studying stock charts. In this book, “Profit Opportunities That Lie Hidden In Your Stock Charts”, W. Chan introduces his unique TOOLS and METHOD for studying intraday stock charts. In this book, the author’s discussions include:a) The traditional time periods that most stock charts cover and why the intraday period and off-hour trading time is valuable for studying.b) His method of setting up dynamic chart channels using standard deviation and linear regression to reveal “supports” and “resistances” for decision making.c) Usage of the RSI Index and overall market trend as assisting tools for exposing over-bought and over-sold conditions and if there is a unique trend for the stock that may differ from the general market.d) A helpful checklist for picking a stock for intraday trading. The objective of this book is not to give specific pointers for critical decision making that an investor should follow of when exactly to buy and sell a stock. As you read carefully, you may find a few specific decision making tips for your transaction timing, but this book does not take you through the course of one intraday session on one stock and reveal when the author would buy or sell throughout that day. However, for those that are interested in looking into this active style of stock trading, this book focuses as an informative introduction into the benefits of intraday stock trade and provides a look at the tools and unique method developed by the author as a result of his own experience and studies.W. Chan has a blog that further discusses examples of occurring dynamic changes in current stock charts. A link to his blog can be found in his Amazon Author Page.
