This item was to replace an existing which has served well for many years. Easy to install but far from weather proof, day after installing had heavy rain over night and got up to water all over the kitchen floor. this never happened with the previous cat flap.

My old one broke as the seal came off and kept blowing open in the wind and was cold so ordered new one to replace. So going out is fine but once coming in it stays up doesn't come down I have to keep pushing down.

I have had to, for the second time dismantle the side of this item which holds the brushes that elliminate draughts because the brushes have come off.First a few weeks ago and then again today 4/12/17.My cat is not a large one and am very dissappointed at this happening especailly as I am a widow on my own and have to do jobs like this myself as there is no one to help.I used a hot melt gun to fix the brushes back on.I appreciate this is not a retailers problem but a manufacturing one other than that its fine.purchased September 2017.

Large cat flap which is good in the main. But it is almost useless to me as it does not lock as stated. We have to drag a pice of furniture in front of it to stop the cat going out!

A good looking item but leaves a few things to be desired. Fits well and looks good but the door constantly sticks. This is our second of this door and both of them get stuck if the cat pushes it too far up on it's way out so cold air is always flowing in our door. The grey fur also didn't stay on long either as it just came away after only a few weeks. Could do with some improvements has potential to be a great idea.

This (and a second one) replaced two smaller flaps which our cat could no longer pass through due to arthritis. These are perfect. They were fitted for us by a local tradesman: one was for an inner wooden door (quick job) and the other for a UPVC stable door (took longer because of having to remove the lower door to recut the hole without risking damage to the UPVC). No problems with brush trim mentioned by other reviewers. The brush quite obviously faces the inside, and when we manually open it to lock/unlock, we are just careful. They have now been fitted for over a month and our elderly cat adapted to them fairly quickly.

Replaced Like for Like.Previous item lasted for for many years.Good Value
