Now I have only one dog have now downgraded from the platinum. Still this is very good and does what it says on the can.

It took a bit of encouragement to get my cat to drink from this, but now he loves it and doesn't drink from his other water bowl at all. He drinks more, too, which was the point as he has issues with his bladder. It also stops him from jumping in the sink when I turn the taps on, as he has his very own!It can make a bit of a buzzing sound occasionally, I find that adjusting the flow dial a little helps.Remember to clean this out and change the water every day or so. It's easy to forget as it has a large capacity and doesn't get empty, and there is a filter. But it's really important that the water is fresh too.The first day, there was some black residue in the fountain, assume it was from the charcoal filter. It just wipes out really easily.

The media could not be loaded.  It's important that our cats have plenty of fresh, clean water available at all times. Many cats prefer to drink running water and a drinking fountain is much safer than leaving a tap running!I first got one of these fountains in order to give my cat filtered, flowing water to drink (I live in a very hard-water area). The activated carbon filters not only help to remove excess limescale and other impurities, but also any dust or fur that may enter the water. You can buy both branded and generic replacement filters on Amazon, the generic are often just as good and a lot cheaper.When my original one broke down after many years I bought a replacement of the same model, which I then passed on to a friend when my current cat was gifted a new fountain. I also bought another of this same model for another friend when she adopted two cats. You can see one of them in the video. Sorry bout the background noise on the video but if you listen carefully you can hear the cat purring 😻These fountains are mains powered, so make sure you have a handy electrical socket. We placed outs on a waterproof feeding mat to catch any spills. It makes a gentle waterfall noise, and you can hear the motor when the fountain starts to run low on water. Make sure to top up the water regularly, preferably before you hear it getting noisy – you'll kill the pump motor if it runs dry.It's important to strip down and regularly clean the fountain. This is very easy because, apart from the pump and impeller, the rest breaks down and can go in a dishwasher. Alternatively you can just use washing up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge. Soaking the pump unit in dilute vinegar (and then rinsing very well) helps to prevent them scaling up too quickly and kills off any algae that may grow in them.When you take it away for cleaning please make sure that you leave a bowl of water out to keep your cats hydrated.

Bought this to replace a Petmate one which is discontinued. Compared to that, this is a much better design, easier to put together and fewer fiddly bits to clean. I'm used to a soft hum from one of these but wasn't prepared for the pretty loud water trickle noise. It's like ha ong a permanent water feature in your house! Took my cat a few days to get used to it, but drinks happily from it now. Learned the hard way from previous fountains to use filtered water. Limescale quickly destroys the plastic and the pump, was getting through one fountain a year.

The drinkwell is good but you can’t get replacement filters , so when it stops working properly, you will have to buy a new one, and one that the can get replacement filters

My Drinkwell finally packed up after so many yrs. Lovely to still be able to purchase and at a great price.

Larger than I expected, but getting used to it and managing the space. Minor design modifications needed. Cable length between plug in and separation junction was not long enough so I had to extend it. Pump makes no noise at all but can vibrate against the casing. I think that is the noise that people complain about. I have stuffed a rubber band between pump and casing, now silent. Also, if placed on anything but a hard floor (a rubber or foam mat (or pads) it reduces vibration noise. With these two modifications, would be 5 star. It has been in use for two weeks now and of our two cats, one still seems happier drinking from muddy puddles outside. The other uses the Petsafe Drinkwell quite happily. Hopeful that one will learn from the other!13 months since purchase and it has now ceased to work. Of our two cats, only one was mildly interested, the other would avoid totally. Nice idea but I don't think I'll buy another. With filters and cleaning kit, cost over the 13 months is approx 75 pence a week. I can buy spring water for their bowl for less.

The fountain is easy to assemble and easy to clean. It’s not particularly attractive and I feel it’s a little overpriced. It’s biggest fault is the noise of constant running water. It’s so loud you can hear it when in another room.I have had previous fountains that are a lot quieter. Overall though it does the job.

Note to Amazon: if you're going to sell European electrical items in Australia you need to either include an adaptor or include a note in the listing to state that the purchaser needs to buy an adapter. This was a Christmas present for my dog who now will have to wait until after the shops open tomorrow for me to buy an adapter. Not good enough!

ho 2 gatte belle grosse che bevono molta acqua , questa fontana è facile da pulire e funziona bene ...unico neo è la vibrazione generata dalla pompa aspirante , l'ho risolta mettendo la fontana sopra un tappetino ...ottimo prodotto

Ich habe das Teil direkt wieder zurück gehen lassen, da es sehr billig und schlecht verarbeitet wirkt. Zumindest für diesen Preis kann man was besseres erwarten. Zudem war das Anschlussstecker nicht für Deutsche Steckdosen sondern nur für Amerikanische Steckdosen geeignet. Geht gar nicht! Über die Funktion kann ich leider nichts sagen.

Fonctionne très bien !!! Très bon rapport qualité prix.Il faut juste surveiller le niveau d'eau et en remettre tous les 3/4 jours.Mon chat est ravi !!!

usoquesta fontanella da quasi 10 anni , pulendola bene con l aceto dura quasi 3 anni . i miei gatti sono molto soddisfatti . in questa presa su Amazon l unico difetto è che c è la presa inglese e quindi ho dovuto acquistare l adattatore e spendere 6 in più .
