Excellent when sunny
I purchased this recently from the Bradshaws website but can't find out how to review it on there. I have to say the service is second to none and it was quick delivery, with someone on the end of the line when I needed a little help. The product is very good and looks good out of the box, although the solar panel is black not silver as shown on this photo (I prefer the black anyway so no problem). It's very quick to set up, you put the batteries in the panel, connect the soft rubber tuning to the stones and the pump, then its ready to go. The amount of air/bubbles is impressive, more than I expected to be honest. The best bit is that you can set it to automatically charge during the day then run at night. I needed this as I'm doing it as my fish need air (there's a heatwave going on) and the night is the worst time, when plants take oxygen out. It's really quiet and doesn't disturb me. If I had to change anything about the design I would make the tubing longer. 2 meters sounds a lot but it's soon used if you've put the pump out of sight somewhere. Another meter would have made all the difference. It's worth mentioning that it only works in direct sunlight. I had hoped that it maybe would work in bright daylight if the sun was behind clouds but no. On cloudy days there's nothing (we occasionally have it set to run during the day) but when the suns out it really does work very well.So assuming you can live with the limitations of sun only then it's a great product, supplied by a professional company that puts customer service first.
