I originally thought the dog lead splitter was a gimmic, and reading reviews I wasn't sure how it would handle my two BIG dogs pulling. Some of the responses to questions about big dogs pulling and getting responses from owners with small dogs who "pull alot" isn't useful for a large Golden Retriever and a 26kilo Border Collie who pull. I ordered anyway and found that it's great for my big dogs! Very pleased with this product and no longer getting tangled on our walks. :)

I only have two dogs (a Labrador and a Pointer), so quite why a lead per dog (and thus, a lead per hand) became quite so onerous, I'll never know but having purchased one of these coupler's, I'll never go back. No longer am I permanently swapping hands, or being tripped up by leads as each dog takes off in alternate directions. I had purchased and tried coupler's before, but they were all too short and gave the dogs no room to manoeuvre independently of each other, which rendered them pretty useless. This one however, is fully adjustable meaning that you can give them plenty of freedom from one another whilst maintaining overall control. I use it with an extending lead and whilst every now and then, they do admittedly get in a tangle, it's relatively rare compared to when I was walking them on separate (non-extending) leads. Better still, I now have a free hand to... well whatever really - from enjoying a sneaky cigarette as I stroll, to carrying the scooped poop without struggling for hand space.

I love this leader for walking my two small dogs. They are far enough apart to have their own space but easy to manage on narrower footpaths. The foam handle has begun to deteriorate but we have simply taped this up and don’t consider it to be an issue as this leader is used a minimum of 3 times a day and we have had it for a few months now. My dogs do have a habit of hanging back behind me then coming forward on either side leaving me with two options.... lifting my legs over the leader or pulling one of them around me so both back on the same side. I do option one and consider it additional exercise lol.

ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY, INACCURATELY DESCRIBED AND SELLER DOESN’T KNOW THE MEANING OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!Bought this for my two dogs, who have a habit of dancing round each other, as it stated it was NO TANGLE. When it arrived I noticed the two splitter leads are joined by a single ring that has NO way of swivelling therefore they would still get tangled but, unlike with normal leads, it would be harder to untangle them.I contacted the seller to explain the situation, asking for a return and refund. Despite my detailed explanation, the point was missed and they refused to refund as the item wasn’t damaged and instead offered me £1.50 compensation and to keep the splitter leads!Talk about adding insult to injury. I now have a worthless piece of equipment and no money.

Really good lead if you want to have a hand free it is quite long though on narrow pavements I have to roll it up a bit to keep them close and away from the road. they can get a bit tangled but mine do try and walk on top of each other.The only thing with it being long is that they tend to walk out in front instead of healing at my side. Personally I prefer 2 separate leads.

If your dogs are a similar size. I have a 40kg lab and a smaller staffy. Works well until the lab wants to go where the staffy doesn’t. Staffy stops for a wee, lab doesn’t.....big LOLZ all round. I’ll persevere but I think you need dogs of a similar size / walking habits for it to work. Having said all that, it’s a good, well made product. It’s just my dogs that are the problem 😂😂

Its really good and adjustable which makes a difference. If there was a complaint it would be that it was that little bit shorter which would be perfect for the Pugsters. A VERY short lead is best attached to this for small dogs. Far superior to the nightmare of two separate leads.Now several months in and this item is fantastic. I just wouldn't be without it.So, so much better than individual leads. HIGHLY recommend.

Purchased this for my 2 Chihuahuas. Can't rate this enough, although the clips are huge and would be great for the largest of dogs this is still perfect for my fur babies. My dogs can cross over each other and they still don't get tangled. As I said above the clips are huge and heavy, ideal for big dogs, but for smaller dogs you can shorten then the lead splitter so it doesn't hang on your dog. Perfect!
