Helped with pain from shingles
Bought on behalf of an older lady suffering from a painful attack of shingles on her chest. She had been given some 2% menthol cream by the hospital pharmacy, and found it soothing for the affected area, so I ordered this for her to use at home. It's quite a large pot, and the cream is easy to apply. Be aware though that you mustn't use too much at once, or you could end up with an unpleasant freezing/burning sensation (hard to describe, but it isn't very nice!).There's a distinct lack of usage instructions, so I thought I'd offer up some words of advice. If you've not used it before, I'd recommend you start with a tiny little blob - about a quarter of a teaspoon's worth - and apply it just to one area on the body, e.g. your arm. Rub it in and wait for five minutes. (Don't be tempted to rush and apply more before the five minutes are up, as the full cooling effect isn't immediate). Then once you've seen how it feels, you'll be able to judge how much or how little you'll need. Oh, and please make sure you observe the same precautions as you would if you'd been handling hot chillies - wash your hands thoroughly before touching eyes or other sensitive body parts!

Fantastic For Menopausal Flushes
I have been spreading the word about this cream, (no pun intended). It is a must for Menopausal flushes,(applied onto the arms, the back of the neck, and a little on the forehead at the hairline too, but be extremely careful not to get it near the eyes!!!), And a little goes a long way!!It keeps me cool at night, and helps me sleep, don't over do it, like I did tho', I shivered for half an hour the first time I used it, I applied it all over the body, but there's no need to! It can also be used for soothing sunburn, itchy skin, etc., a wonderful product, at a reasonable price!

Best price and quality for 2% Menthol in Aqueous
After checking all over internet, this is the best price for 2% menthol strength for the size of the tub. This is excellent for prickly heat relief for a good few hours. Takes the heat out of the rash and is also good on a hot day after a bath or shower, to keep you cool and comfortable. Would recommend both the product and the seller.

Urticaria sufferers use with caution.
For urticaria sufferers - be careful when and if you use this. I've been trying to get off steroids and bought this cream as an alternative after reading recommendations online. Now I'm sure I brought the results on myself due to using too much too soon - but I put loads on this on from head to toe, after a bath and before bedtime. There were no usage recommendations on label so USE SPARINGLY! After five minutes on my skin I was intensely freezing and felt something wasn't right. I should have washed it off but the cold feeling subsided after 20 minutes of nestling under my duvet trying to keep warm after the shock of the lotion. I woke up at 2am with a REALLY bad break out of hives. It was one of the worst break outs I'd had yet. It may work for you, but for me, it worsened my condition. Not for me. I'm only posting to warn others to be careful with the amount you should put on your skin.

A private consultant prescribed Dermacool 1% to cool the skin
I have a very debilitating seasonal itchy skin problem that has been going on for decades. My GP just gives out antihistamines and steroid creams-useless.A private consultant prescribed Dermacool 1% to cool the skin, which isn't bad but I bought this 2% as a backup. It's useful, and if I rub the skin too hard,I apply Savlon Gel for stings, cheapest at Sainsbury's...£3.00 typically.
