Catching snakes. I like it mainly because it can be adjusted length wise

I was really thrilled about this stick, right up to the moment the hook end kept falling off. I have tried to force it back on but sadly it keeps falling off. I have to keep checking to make sure it hasn't fallen off and gotten lost. I use it often with the same response. I plan to try to glue it on next which will end the possibility of using the hiking end. Disappointed but not without hope...

Some of the other reviewers mention that they did not get the product advertized. When I ordered this, there were two 'model' options. One was a standard snake hook (for a lower price) and the other was the combination trekking pole/snake hook.It looks like there is only one option now, so that confusion should be taken care of.Poles arrived today and I will be testing them out this weekend, but they appear to be as sturdy as any other collapsable trekking pole. Will have to find a snake to test the hook portion!

I have not used it yet although I have 75 acres on my job property and there are many snakes from time to time to be relocated.

Ok I was really nervous to buy this bc there were several reviews about it not working well or breaking but I bit the bullet. My recommendation is to look up a YouTube video on how to use this brands hook! It helped a lot considering a lot of people claimed it broke after the first extension. I had the same problem as well, but after watching the video, I understand how it works now. I use this on some chonky full size ball pythons and it worked perfectly. Much easier and faster to grab them into their feeding box, instead of me wrangling them in a pillow case.

The hook fell out on the first snake I picked up. It was a juvenile copperhead so not even large.Do yourselves a favor and just order a regular snake hook and don’t worry about retractibility like I did

Good product. The only issue I’ve had is the lock mechanism on the arms operates the opposite way to the indications on the pole. Apart from that it works well.
