Read before buying Region locked but 10/10
I got both movies. I know they're American region only but I payed out for a blu ray multiregion player and it was worth the spend. It's amazing how better these films look on blu ray player upscaled to 4k as possible.Good movie not as good as the first movie but the quality of the blu ray is excellent. It includes a new filmed featurette for the turbo movie filmed for the shout factory releases very interesting stuff. Worth a watch.

An OK film, but it has it's flaws
Well this is it. The movie that began the series that almost killed the franchise. Though a lot was going on behind the scenes to cause all that.Anyway, the movie itself is OK. The effects are good and what fight scenes are in the movie are well choreographed, we even get to see a pretty decent Megazord battle. The main issues I see with this film is it's lack of action scenes and the fact that we don't get to see the new Turbo Rangers in action until we're three quarters of the way into the movie. There is also the issue of a few continuity hiccups, like the fans not getting a proper explanation as to where the Turbo powers came from (though some may say that it's a further evolution of the Zeo powers) and Bulk and Skull (the comedy relief duo) not being in Paris, which was built up at the end of the Zeo season. Also in this movie are Jason and Kimberly; two of the original Mighty Morphin' team, but it was a wasted opportunity for Kimberly to perhaps have a talk with Tommy over a Dear John letter she sent him in the last season (Zeo)..The villain of the piece is an evil pirate queen called Divatox who is determined to marry a demon in this movie, though she does have the tendency to really be over the top, but then again, she is a Power Rangers villain. Though we do get a cameo by Rita and Zedd. Then there's Justin, the new Blue Ranger. I can see where Saban was coming from, thinking a kid ranger would be a popular move, but Justin is a character you either like or dislike. The issue continuing over into the series itself.I think overall, the movie could have done with a bit more action and a bit less of Ewok-esque wizard; Lerigot and without the need to travel on a slow old galleon to the island destination where Divatox plans to sacrifice Jason and Kimberly to the demon she wants to marry. But it does have the nice effects and decent battles, regardless of only having a few.Only recommended to die hard Power Rangers fans. Oh and unlike 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie' this movie is in canon with the TV series continuity. Just so people know.
