A note to the other reviews who used this as a protien shake & raw dogged it straight- you're crazy. It's literally beef protein isolate?! Anyway, I use this in baking. I'm an athlete but I like my sweet treats. This mixes amazing in brownies, 5 grams of protein for one brownie? Yes please. I can put 8 tablespoons into a brownie mix and its perfect. You can't taste it unless you really add too much, then it has a very slight hint of bone broth. I add it into my bone broth protien shakes to boost the macros. I love it. ❤️ I have an extremely sensitive stomach & cannot tolerate whey protein shakes so this really is a game changer.

I have been very happy with Bulk Supplements products over the years and I am still a regular customer.Also, this particular protein powder is radically different from other beef protein isolate powders on the market. I only ordered the Bulk Supplements version because the stuff that has been working so well for me was out of stock at the time (and Bulk Supps stuff had never shown up in my recommendations until I went searching for an alternative). I was also so accustomed to being happy with Bulk Supplements powders etc in the past, that I bought a 1kg bag with no hesitation. Oops.This stuff though, smells bad and tastes worse. It sort of looks like unflavored beef gelatin (coarsely ground and apx the same color) BUT beef gelatin powder IS actually unflavored, AND actually dissolves in water. The flavor of this protein powder reminds me of ground up hamburger that has been over done on on a grill along with a faint charred smell (and once blended the charred smell becomes a very noticeable taste). Oh and as far as protein powders go, this stuff actually messed with my entire digestive system worse than any whey or soy protein powders ever did. The only protein powder I have tried that smelled worse was Brown Rice protein.

This should be obvious, but apparently it's not ...I was skeptical after reading the negative reviews and am glad I ignored them and bought anyway. You're buying this because it's got one ingredient and it's full of high quality protein. You're not buying this because it's yummy delicious Snickers bar flavor. If you care about your protein intake and are not doing the gym as a fad and don't need everything to be sweet and chocolatey, this is for you. Just man up and drink it and get on with your day.

So I been looking for some additions to my carnivore diet and discovered this. I just mixed some in my bottle and drank it less than 5 minutes ago. The most prominent flavor was a sour taste almost like it gone bad or something. There was only a hint of beef flavor. This has basically the protein from beef without the fat. So it should give an energy boost which is what I'm feeling now. My stomach is feeling slightly off. I added a good amount of salt to try and make it taste better and it still tasted strange. Next I will try adding in beef broth/stock and see if that makes it taste any better.Update: I tested this out using Amazon fresh brand beef stock and beef broth. It definitely seems to taste better with the broth. With the stock it tasted better than with water but still not as good as with the broth. Without a doubt it tasted the worse mixing with just plain water.

I’ve been buying this for a couple years and consuming everyday. It’s been subtle in smell and taste when mixed into my morning coffee and I’ve loved the ease of digestion as I have significant gut issues. The last 3 shipments I’ve received came in a slightly smaller bag but then you open it and the air fills with a gross putrid smell that was never there before. The color has also changed and is more yellow and the true test it tastes like it smells! Cannot mask it and is literally not palatable. My stomach was grumbly and bloated after forcing down a 1/2 serving of my usual amount with coffee. Please go back to your original formula. I’m not sure what changed or why but I am no longer a loyal loving it customer and will not be buying this anymore.😥🤢

Tastes very bad in my opinion.Labeling is misleading. It reads 27 G protein per serving but 2.5 g leucine which is a serving of leucine is for 100 g serving. So, you'd need to eat over 3 x the serving to get adequate leucineI'll stick with pure whey isolate. Cheaper and adequate leucineReturns not allowed.

I really wanted to like this protein. I recently started a carnivore diet and what I miss most is making protein smoothies in the morning. I purchased this protein in place of my usual whey protein powder. The taste of this protein powder is so bad I even fudged on my diet and added bananas, peanut butter and a small amount of cocoa powder, but the taste is still really bad. I’m disappointed that now I have this large pack of protein powder that is too gross to eat. This is also coming from someone that has taken protein supplements and worked out for over 20 years, it didn’t have to be great, but this taste too bad even to remotely enjoy.

It's a huge bag of powder. I was able to get two scoops down on two separate days before deciding it just wasn't worth it. Absolutely foul taste in addition to causing the same intestinal problems that other protein powders cause. Be kind to yourself, just eat more beef. This product is only an exercise in self flagellation. Although the price is low for beef protein isolate I rated it one star for value, because if it tastes too bad to ingest it's a waste of money even though it is competitively priced. I have no way to evaluate the "quality" so I went with three stars as it's probably what it claims to be.
