OS X 10.9 Mavericks - Bootfähiger Recovery Installation USB

I needed to upgrade my Mac Pro from OS X 10.6 because it was becoming obsolete and I could not install new software, particularly browser applications. I couldn't get the upgrade I needed from the Apple Store because of problems of accessing it online, so I decided to try the USB stick from FgComputers. The installation process was simple to follow from the instructions provided and was accomplished without problem. My chief concern was that Adobe CS4 might not work with later versions of the Mac OS, which is why I did not go for 10.10, or higher versions. In fact, all my applications seem to be working as they should, apart from a very old version of Microsoft Word, and I would certainly recommend this installation method for anyone in a similar situation.

Exactly as other reviewers have said, I needed to upgrade my iMac from 10.6.3 but this was unavailable from Apple. Eventually I decided to spend a few pounds on this USB stick and am so glad I did. (The actual installation took about an hour.) Now I have an upgraded OS, I could upgrade my browsers and all previous problems have disappeared. It's just like having a brand new Mac, for only about £20, instead of the near-thousand for an entirely new system. Thoroughly recommended.

I struggled for weeks to get my old iMac going. The Apple Store is useless for their older operating systems: they don't have them in the store. I downloaded 6 or 7 later ones, spending days trying to install them on my computer, but to no avail. I downloaded Mavericks from other websites but these were rejected as unsuitable. In desparation I looked through Amazon and found this product and decided to take a chance for the small sum of £15. It arrived the next day and I plugged it in and Mavericks immediately began installing without the slightest bother. A great find: thanks!

We wanted to upgrade 2 older Macs from Snow Leopard & Mountain Lion to Mavericks. On both, this worked beautifully, with no hitches. Upgrading from Snow Leopard took longer - be patient. The instructions were straightforward and simple to follow. An excellent way of upgrading with no losses. A really good product.It also arrived the next day.

Easy installation from a USB. Nervous about upgrading from Mountain Lion but the new OSX seems to have preserved all the apps I had before, without compromise or abandonment.

This did not live up to my expectations at all .I needed an operating system installed on the pen drive so I could open my damaged internal drive .If you are looking to do the same this will not work .It looks like it’s just disk utility on the own drive and I can already access that from the emergency revisit drive .Very frustrating and a complete waste of time .You cannot contact the company direct no email and the phone number doesn’t work .A complete rip off .Beware

Did reboot my accidentally wiped Mac, but had programs missing i.e. iPhoto! And a very basic iTunes! Would recommend if you just need a computer!

It revived my wife Mac Air, made it feel like new. What can I say but, thanks, so simple, easy and cost effective.
