Great product
If you have a newer remote fuel tank for your outboard you need this device. Emission regulations require that tanks can no longer vent out through the cap. In warm, sunny weather, the tank can become pressurized and cause operating problems with the motor such as flooding, vapor lock, fuel starvation and engine surging. I had all of these problems with my 6HP Mercury. The guy at the marine store who sold me the remote tank said that this fuel demand valve was not required. He was wrong. This valve solved all of my engine problems.

Works perfectly!
Like a lot of boat owners, I couldn’t figure out why my outboard kept flooding. Well, thanks to the EPA, portable gas tank like mine are required not to have s vent. When the gas in the tank became over pressurized, it forced gas into the carb. This valve solves that issue!

Fixed my problem with engine sputtering/dieing.
I have a newer 40hp 4 stroke mercury outboard and it got to where it would fire up and run by wouldn't rev out and start bogging and sputtering and die. This took care of that, runs like a new one again.

Honda generator
Stops the siphoning no need for priming bulb Have ran approximately 12 gallons of fuel through it on multiple starts and stops Update I’ve had for approximately one year and have had multiple Valve replacements and only use non-ethanol fuel due to leakage but works great when working

UPDATE!! Yes might prevent pressure! But my 6hp outboard surged like crazy after installing..
Had to remove it from my fuel line!!Arrived fast, fit my outboard fuel line perfectly, it’s what I needed to prevent my small outboard tank from expanding when full of fuel on those warm days. Use to expand and leak gas out the vent! Now I can keep vent closed and not worry about a leak or my tank pressurizing the heck out of my fuel system!Motor surged at idle after installing.. Does not work me!!

Works as Intended
Fuel line had constant pressure from the fuel tank to the engine. With the addition of the fuel demand valve in the first 6" of fuel line from the tank, this is the only place where the fuel line is now under constant pressure.
