Nikon HB-32 Lens Hood for AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED and AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR

I have just paid £1000 for a camera and lens, so I wasn't going to 'penny-pinch' on a lens hood. This seems to be the genuine article: It fits perfectly and locks into place securely. Having said that, if I had realised that the lens hood was not included with the lens, I might have bought the Canon D80 instead... A £400 lens and you have to pay extra for the lens hood??? WHAT A RIP OFF

I bought a new Nikon SLR camera for the first time and started buying lenses for it, I only wanted to buy quality Nikon products so when I bought my 18-140mm lens I needed a hood and this was the one. The quality is fantastic as expected the fit is excellent as expected it clicks in to place perfect and feels very robust. If you buy Nikon extras your buying quality.

After much thought decided to go for this official Nikon lens hood. It does what it says on the tin. The only way it could possibly be improved in my mind, is by being a little bit more hooded. My larger 300m Nikon lens has a bit more of a 'bucketed' hood, meaning it's much easier to keep the sun's glare out. However, very pleased with this purchase.

This was a good fit for my lens and works well in bright light. However it does come loose frequently. I need to shorten my lens to fix it back. Not ideal, but after trying two or three others I stuck with this one.

I had previously bought a cheaper third party version that although it looked well made it didn't lock onto the lens very well. Having lost it because I think it got knocked and fell off the lens I decided to go for a genuine Nikon Version. What a difference. It's well made and locks securely in place. I don't think I'll be looking for another.

Bought to replace an original that was broken when I dropped my camera. Amazingly the camera and lens survived and the hood took the force but resulted in a large crack meaning it then kept falling off.This replacement is as per the original but loses a star for being so expensive.

Genuine product which is designed and fit for purpose. Expensive but will protect your lens so peace of mind in the long run.
