The backing tears off in tiny little strips. It is terrible. The faux leather is kind of matte and looks pretty nice. It is easy to work with and unsticks without too much of a problem. That may be the downside though. Because it doesn't stick very well it may end up pulling up especially in a spot that gets a lot of use.Edit: Day two and it is coming off around the corners. I can't peel it up because there is glue residue underneath. Avoid.

Attached a pic. It does not stay glued to an object. Came off after a day from chair I used it on. Buy it if you want to waste your hard earned money.

This product does not adhere permanently so it is useless for furniture that you actually use.
