Some of the negative reviews mention a resinous buildup - but this is standard for backflow incense, like any smoke it has some tar. It's really easy to clean off once a week with a little isopropyl alcohol. The incense burner itself is well made and it works just as advertised. The default incense smell nice, but they're not the greatest I've ever had. One small note to approach gifting with a bit of trepidation - it does have the traditional Buddhist swastika and some people may not understand the cultural differences.

The media could not be loaded.  The smell of the incense is nothing to write home about BUT...this is a darling little Buddha and the back flow works great.
