Works just a pain in the butt
Works its just a pain in the butt to install since the new plastic tabs that come with it you have to file down to even fit in the board then you have to get the polarity right had to take dash out 3 times🤦But i got it!!!

Great Replacement
These LEDs worked perfectly for refitting most of my smaller #196 or equivalent lamps on my truck. I got them to replace my instrument cluster backlights (3 of 6 had burned out) and they directly fit perfectly. I even used the remaining 4 to replace the license plate lamps and front corner markers (just so happen to take the same size). One word of advice: unlike the original lamps which will work no matter how you put them in the socket, these LED lamps are polarized (have specific 'positive' and 'negative' terminals on them). If you put it in the socket and it doesn't light up, you'll need to remove it and flip it over in the socket. I expected this (having a background in electronics) but for others who may not, I hope it helps.I can't speak as to their longevity yet, but as with most LEDs versus regular lamps, I expect they'll last at least twice as long as their predecessors.

Poor fit
There are 10 of these in the pack. I put the LED in the holder and tried installing--too tight. I tried installing all 10 bases without an LED and got 3 to fit. When I put the LED in place, it apparently pushed the holder apart slightly and made those 3 unable to fit.You could probably sand or use a rotary tool to take a little plastic off and get them to fit, and other comments suggest that people have done that...but I wasn't willing. I'll try a different brand and see if they fit.
