It is leak proof even tho it does “sweat“ a little from the lid but it keeps ice for over 24 hours and even when the ice is gone the drink remains cold for a long time as well. Also the pocket on the carrying bag holds a phone very well but I use it to carry my Liquid I.V. packets for access and availability on the go! Very happy with this purchase.Edit update: I carry my bottle everywhere, the carrying bag is not very durable. Mine is already ripping where the strap is sewn to the case from the weight of the full bottle alone.

I own others with the straw but I like this one better all good in keeping my water cold all day

I am disappointed with this water bottle. It looks good is about all the positives. It does leak, the water did not stay cold and it is NOT sweatproof. I had an old version that was definitely better quality. I would not buy again.
