An Important Part of the Fertility Conversation
When you're young, you don't often hear about the challenges of having children; you just hear that you have to be careful not to make them too soon! But the hard truth, as delivered by Leslie Schrock, is that fertility is the result of many different qualities, conditions, and factors, many of which aren't always in our direct control. Fertility Rules is full of important and interesting information, written with a care and generous spirit that makes it both informative and a pleasure to read.If you're considering having children, interested in knowing what factors go into fertility, or you just want to know what we know (and marvel/cringe at what we don't!), this book is for you.

Parenting and puberty
I got this book so my daughter and I could read it together and talk about her cycle and birth control. I was dreading it these talks but Fertility Rules cracked both of us open. I was surprised there was so much I didn't know about hormones and periods and birth control has changed a lot so I was learning right along with her. There are history lessons and fun facts throughout that made it an unexpectedly fun read. I recommend it to any parent who wants to help their kids be more body literate and understand contraception more than we were ever taught.

MUST READ for any man, woman or person looking to have a baby now or in the future!
As someone who's been on a long fertility journey (multiple miscarriages, IVF cycles, and more), this book is a breath of fresh air. Not only is it evidence-based, but its accessible, 21st century approach is exactly what we needed to make informed decisions about our fertility path. I love Schrock's scientific approach, as well as her exploration of both male and female fertility. I also love how she encourages everyone to get empowered about their fertility well before they're looking to get pregnant. Thank you for creating the guide me and my friends (the world!) needs!

Interesting & Informative Book about Reproductive Health
I bought Fertility Rules to support a family member who has experienced disappointment and sadness while trying to have a baby. This book explains fertility, infertility, and miscarriage in detail, but it is easy to read and understand. I learned that one or both partners may have fertility issues. I also have a better understanding of current research and treatments for those who are facing challenges like my daughter and her spouse. I think that everyone planning for a baby would benefit from reading this book.

This is the modern authority on male and female fertility
Egg freezing, lifestyle factors that enhance fertility, secondary infertility, the impact that men have on fertility (half of all fertility issues relate to men), pratical tips and all the current data, I found this to be such a helpful resource. It was so comforting to hear that on average, IVF takes 3 tries to stick. It is such a hard time of uncertainty, and the tone of this book is spot on. Will engage men and women equally!

Paperback Binding Issue
I was on page 3 of the book when the binding started to fail. I've now had two sets of binding come loose back to back (pages 3-10 are now loose). I stopped reading at page 10 to write this review because this is ridiculous, and hopefully this trend doesn't continue as I continue to read. Content of book seems great but paperback quality is low, I suggest the digital version.
