Seymour Duncan Vapor Trail Analog Delay Pedal

What a fantastic pedal! I've compared this with a Carbon Copy and this gets my vote primarily due to the additional TRS insert options, and i like the modulation control settings giving you much more effect range. The flashing LED is also helpful for timing.The picture is incorrect (that's the old graphics...), this is all the blue colour with white graphics and dials and looks much nicer imho. The proguitarshop youtube demo shows the correct colour...Look at the amazon.com reviews for a much better ratings score as the amazon.co.uk ratings is very misleading - this pedal is VERY GOOD!

This is an excellent and very diverse delay pedal. I’ve been looking for an analog delay to add to my sound to ‘fill out’ my solos in a kind of Dave Gilmour-esque manner. This pedal is the perfect fit for that and so many other styles too. I don’t play anything like the sound U2’s Edge does but whilst playing around finding the perfect sound for myself I noticed this pedal could definitely emulate that sound too as well as so many others. It comes with a small booklet to give you a few settings tips too to help you on your way.

What an excellent pedal, currently just using it with electro-acoustic guitar and the sounds are just fantastic! Beautiful warm tones and depth. Add compressor and reverb...WOW! I looked at (uTube) and read all reviews I could beforehand, all very positive! Good price & delivered on time. It's 5-Stars and A+ from me! 👍

Love it, love it, love it without reservation. Beautiful warm delays with lots of flexibility. (I haven't used the send/receive to colour the echoes yet.)

The unit I received was not as per the picture. It is a Sky Blue colour. The Delay knob is opaque like the others and there is a separate small LED next to it. All packaging looks genuine. But like the most recent other review here, mine doesn't work at all. It passes the signal through, but when activated, there are no lights and no sound.

Faulty straight out the box. Not good Seymour Duncan!! Going straight back!!!

Suono caldissimo e mai impastato

This pedal is fantastic. I love everything about it, the design is very attractive, the build feels superb, and the sound is nothing short of heavenly. This is the second Seymour Duncan product that I have purchased (the first was a JB Jr.) and both have lived up to SD's reputation for great products with just flawless attention to detail.The delays are warm, harmonically rich, with a very pleasant decay as they repeat and combined with the modulation circuit they produce a wonderful blooming, full sound that can even make a tiny 1x8 Fender mustang sound like an amp two or three times the power and size. The warmth provided by this pedal really helps when dealing with solid state amps that tend to be very brittle sounding and really helps modeling amps to sound much much closer to tubes. I have not really liked delay pedals before (particularly digital ones) because to me they sounded just like a stuck record with a very sterile and flat tone to them. The Vapor Trail sounds much less like a broken record and more like a real echo as it your amp was in a cave. This sound (at least to me) much more pleasing to the ear and breathes new life into any kind of tone.The controls are intuitive, feel great and strike the perfect balance between range of effect and sensitivity. If I had one wish for this pedal I wish there were a dedicated on/off switch for the modulation, but turning down the rate and depth gets pretty much the same thing so it's not a very big complaint.To low-budget pedal buyers like me this may seem like a lot of money, but by analog delay standards this is actually very reasonably priced (especially for ones made in the US) and considering what you are getting it is a very good deal.Chicago Music Exchange was great as usual, the box was very well packed, the prime shipping was super fast (not to mention the stickers were a nice touch). Bottom line: I am a very happy customer. This pedal deserves a place on any pedalboard, give it a try you won't be sorry.

Kenner der Rock-Szene kennen Seymour Duncan. Es gibt zig Trails und die Wahl ist Geschmackssache. Ich habe ihn meinem Enkel geschenkt (natürlich nach Angabe des Typs) und ich muss sagen, seine Beispiele, die er mir auf der Gitarre vorgeführt hat, haben mich begeistert (bin 68 J und kenne die Rock, Hard-Rockszene sonst überhaupt nicht).

The pedal itself gets five stars, I took one star off because the one I received was a different edition that doesn't have the clear knob that blinks, just a little LED below it. This was a disappointment for me upon opening up my little treasure. I wish sellers were more careful about things like this on Amazon. Little features like that are part of what goes into making a decision to buy. That being said, the pedal sounds wonderful. I love it! Seymour Duncan is a really great company. I get the sense that they continue to put their heart and soul into their products. Good job Seymour and team!

Sono un fan dei delay analogici per chitarra.. per me le modulazioni analogiche sono assolutamente superiori quelle digitali.. Questo delay della Seymour Duncan a mio avviso ha un bellissimo timbro ed inoltre ha un indicatore a led che da l'idea del tempo di delay (e quindi permette di aiutarsi nella regolazione 'a tempo' dell'effetto sul tempo della batteria) ed inoltre ha i controlli date e depht (assenti in altri delay analogici simili) che permettono di ottenere delle ripetizioni con suoni molto particolari ed interessanti. Se a tutto ciò si aggiunge che è un prodotto assemblato in California, che il marchio è sinonimo di qualità e che lo si riesce a trovare a prezzo accessibile.. non posso che dare 5 stelle.
