Mechanically, installation was straightforward. The lock comes with longer brass tubes to swap out for the pre-installed shorter ones. I had to use the longer ones because my door was too thick for the pre-installed ones. The short ones I removed appear on top of my keys in one of my pics.Four AA batteries are easy to change and will hopefully not require changing for a very long time.The fingerprint reader seems to work very well, and the keypad offers a nice backup if for any reason the reader fails.There's also smart cards and traditional keys. The two cards that it comes with are unique so either can be deauthorized if lost, without affecting the other card.They keys are shorter than my previous house keys and the pattern does not look very intricate. I think I just downgraded from a 7-tumbler lock cylinder to maybe 4. Honestly, if someone wanted to break-in, they could smash glass, so I'm not too concerned with the lock being easier to pick than what I had before. I don't think the cylinder can be swapped so if you wanted this keyed-alike with other locks, that's probably not an option.Adding family members in the app was not too intuitive. There's a switch on the back of the device that's meant to disable non-family members but in my experience it disables everyone except the administrator.Although the app supports other devices that can be controlled with Alexa and Google, this isn't one of them. I enabled it and both Alexa and Google "see" the device, but can't do anything with it. No WiFi means remote unlocking is limited to the phone app and only if you're within BlueTooth range.My overall impression is that this is an affordable way to convert your home's door lock to fingerprint & passcode based without breaking the bank.

I used four rechargeable, Ni-MH Panasonic Eneloop AA batteries that have a low self-discharge rate and still have a charge after 5 years.Installed this deadbolt lock in a storage room door in my garage.

Super easy to set up and install, and it looks great. The only main issue is that it doesn't communicate well with Alexa. The app that runs it works fine, and setting up the badges that come with it is a breeze. Connecting to your phone is a bit of a pest though.
