The bad old days
I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. I like the more serious Deadpool. Yes, Deadpool is still insane, talks a lot, and had no boundaries but here he is more badass than a raving madman.A couple of times a year Deadpool is beaten to "death" but an unstoppable, walking tank he has named Thumper. This time Deadpool is bringing some "friends" to help him out. What is his connection to Deadpool?I like the artwork Deadpool looks a lot cooler, deadlier, and the book is full of big fight scenes. I wish Deadpool was more like this in the current comics. Like here I wish more was made of Deadpool's fighting skills, not just he can heal from anything. The book finishes with a couple of sketch pages.

Same ol' marvel , nothin special .
Average story , same old repetitive marvel , Robs art is good but doesnt really compare to his old stuff , maybe its the ink job over his pencils that looses some of the detail ?

Old fashioned Deadpool?
Deadpool: Bad Blood is an “original” graphic novel by co-creator Rob Liefield, who plotted and pencilled it, though it is not scripted by him.I came to Deadpool quite late, the current mainstream title by Duggan and Posehn was my first visit to his world, and the occasional older volume in my local libraries, and the many mini-series by various hands that have appeared alongside the main title, have not particularly impressed me in comparison. This graphic novel didn’t do much for me either, though I can see that it will do a lot for readers from the early days, as it brings in characters from deep in Deadpool’s past (I am assuming that they haven’t been made up and retrofitted – it is hard to tell with a long-established series that I have only been reading fairly recently; I’m not even sure how much of the Duggan/Posehn series is retrofitted). There is plenty of well-illustrated action, the scripting and characterisation are well done; it just isn’t “my” Deadpool. It may be yours though.
