Beware of the smaller candy thermometer!!!
I brought this to check temp of my candy mix for candy apples. I started just using the smaller one being that it’s small and convenient.. not much metal to burn yourself with😂 anyways so after using the smaller thermometer for about a week it’s literally burst right after I took it out of the candy mixture. It’s like the air cracked it after being hit. Idk but I’ve been using the larger one. No issues yet and I’ve used it about 3 months now. Just be careful with the smaller candy thermometer, it may or may not burst.

Numbers boiled off with first use, but company was quick to respond and resolve the issue. Definitely some quality control issues, otherwise products were accurate.
