The best stain ever for my fence and deck

This will produce a beautiful finish if you can wipe it off before it gels. Therein lies the catch, if you live in a sunny climate like much of CA, your deck is likely to be in the sun. This gives you little time after application to wipe off finish that has not soaked in. Don’t use a roller, it applies too much. The best, although most arduous method, is to apply to several lengths of board at a time by foam brush or rag and then wipe clean. The next best method is to use a sponge mop to apply a thin coat, then spread flat minutes after applying. Saturated rags in the sun will catch fire. Spread them open to slow this and increase useful working time. Dispose in a ziplock filled with some water and air squeezed out. If you goof and are left with a sticky surface, it will evaporate over the course of 6-12 mo depending on sun exposure. However, you won’t be able to walk on it without leaving tracks.I have only used this on IPE, which is exceptionally hard and non- porous. Softer woods may be easier to work with.

Love this product that I used on my new cedar deck boards. I used this product years ago and I was so happy to find on line as no area big box store or hardware store carries it.

I like this product a great deal. I like the easy way it applies (brush and garden sprayer) the way it penatrates and the way it repels water.
