Very sturdy chair!
I injured my knee and cannot stand for long periods. I previously purchased a different chair that said it could hold up to 500lbs. I weigh 365. It started to break after 4 uses. This chair is so much better! It is very comfortable & well designed! Highly recommend! There are no screws in this design to push through the plastic like others. Very easy to assemble and seems very durable.

So far, excellent!
What a simple and effective shower seat! Very easy and intuitive to put together, no need for tools. High weight capacity and backrest are big plusses! If you find yourself disabled and need an intermediate fix to help make showering comfortable before totally making over your bathroom, this is it! Will update if any longevity or durability issues arise.

I’m impressed it is pretty sturdy little chair.
I didn’t like the back of the chair as my shower is small and I’m a big booty gal. It’s light and easy to assemble. In fact, can’t be easier. I have sat on it several times. Very cautiously in the shower the first time; if my shower was a little bigger this would be perfect. I’d say If you are using this for an older person, or someone with mobility issues, it is a little low and you will have to have something to pull yourself up, this chair is not for that. However if you have the handlebars to do so, then this is an affordable avenue to try for heavier set people. I’m over 500 lbs and it holds me.

Aahhhh!
After years of just regular shower chairs, I find this one superior. The regular chairs move when I move and I don't always feel secure. This one ... the only thing that moves is me! In addition to being comfortable and fitting the shower better, it looks good, too.

Chair not stable. I fell in the shower because it tipped forward when I tried to sit down.
I fell in the shower I was laying on my shower floor for 9 hours until someone realized I was there.

Good up to 700#, if you want something sturdy this is your chair.
I needed a shower chair for the first time. I needed one that I felt would hold my weight and I saw this one was good for 700#. I'm not near that weight but I'm heavy enough where the other chairs seemed flimsy and the reviews with people getting hurt had me looking further. This chair is sturdy and I don't feel afraid that it's going to break, while I am trying to get clean. It even held up to having to pick up my bar of soap 3 times, after dropping it...did not slip out from under me. I have this chair as high as it will go, since I'm tall, and it still feels solid. Came in a box where everyone that handled it knew I was getting a shower chair. Box was smaller than I expected. All parts were there and I was able to put it together without much effort, even though I was very sick and weak.Edit: 12/31/2020 When I bought this chair back in 2017 it was listed as 700# max, since then it has changed max weight. That is why my review states 700# and not 500#.
