Great book, but odd recurring typo
The book is great (a smart, fun take on a fascinating history), but the North American paperback has a weird typo throughout (even the index!) where "hn" appears as "Ù." So Samuel Johnson becomes Samuel JoÙson, technology is tecÙology, etc. Once you get used to it, it doesn't impair enjoyment/understanding of Prof. Duncan's work but would be a welcome fix on subsequent printings. But the book really is super!

Great book
I really enjoyed this book and the writing style.

Defective edition
This edition (Norton) is defective. Every time the letters "hn" appear together (e.g., in the name 'John') , instead a capital "U" with an accent over it appears. It is very annoying and hampers reading what is an otherwise excellent book.

Great Overview on the Topic
I really enjoyed reading about this development over decades. Never thought that this can be done that entertaining. In addition, the summary and overview is also very informative. Good choice for those who love books.
