A wonderful book to share with a child about being true to yourself
This uplifting tale is about a little boy in a blue world who longs for yellow. Luckily Dad is there to help him be brave and show his true colours. Robert’s gentle rhyming text is the perfect match for Stef’s beautiful illustrations and the book glows with positive vibes. So much to spot in the pictures too. What a wonderful book to share with a child about being true to yourself. I can’t wait!

A gorgeous, heartwarming exploration of being yourself and letting your true colours shine through.
This book is just delightful! Robert's debut picture book is clearly told from the heart. The story of a young boy who loves yellow, in a world where only blue is allowed, is told thoughtfully, gently and with passion. Stef's illustrations are wonderful, with such a clever colour palette as the illustrations slowly shift from a blue scale to a vibrant, uplifting rainbow of colours. There is so much for the child reader to take away from this story. Being brave, being yourself, celebrating differences, a father's love for his son and much, much more. I can highly recommend this book both for at home and in schools.

Gorgeous book
I really enjoyed the concept of this book and I will definitely be purchasing this and using it in my classroom. It will be great to use in pshe to encourage children to be themselves and give lots of opportunities to talk about differences and fitting in. Loved it.
