I purchased the TU-23AM unit. Amazon lists it in the drop list as "USB sharing switch". Anyway, it is for sharing one keyboard/mouse and speakers/microphone with two computers.I looked at a lot of the popular keyboard switches on amazon, but skipped them and chose this product. Initially I really just liked the numerical visual display that shows which device is being controlled. The dot indicator to show if the hotkey feature is enabled if a great touch as well. However, after I saw the PC in ports were USB-B I realized this manufacturer knows what they are doing. The ports on the front are USB-A for the keyboard and mouse, but the ports on the back that connect to the computers are USB-B. It is best to pick a USB switch device with a USB-B connector from the PCs. USB-B is designed to prevent two host devices from being hooked up and possibly damaging your hardware. Cheap devices will just throw on a USB-A port (the typical USB port you see every where).After opening the box, you could just tell this is a quality product. From the weight of the unit, feel of the power switch, thickness/quality of the supplied cables, you can tell this device was put together well. For $18 it is a steal. It actually comes with a little color booklet that covers all the functions. I didn't need this to figure out the wires, but it comes in handy if you are using the hotkeys and audio features. The booklet actually contained a lot of useful information and about the options for hotkeys and setting up the audio features.It took just a minute to plug everything in and it works like a champ. I ditched the second keyboard and mouse on my desk, hooray! hooray! my desk look way less cluttered now. and I'll have better posture not having to reach to use the second mouse/keyboard.

UPDATE 9/7/23:The seller contacted me. My email got lost for a few days in their spam folder. They apologized, saying they normally reply immediately. They offered to send me a replacement unit, and they also offered to pre-test it at 4K@144Hz. Additionally they said if I continued having a problem, it could be interference and they offered to a free DP signal repeater to see if that would help. I had already returned the unit to Amazon, but I would have accepted their offer if I had received the email before then. Added one star for the excellent response, and as I point out below, this is a well built, quality unit.---Original review:This is a quality product. Metal case, well built, it comes with all, the cables (two 5ft USB 3.0 and three 5ft DisplayPort 1.4). It also comes with a power supply.I really wanted this to work, but while it worked perfectly at 2K 100hz, the monitor would blink at 144hz.I emailed the manufacturer for suggestions, but they never replied (THEY DID, CORRECTED ABOVE).It may just be my monitor being fussy. Your mileage may vary. Sadly I sent it back for a refund.I can honestly say that as long as you don't need to go over 100hz refresh (or are willing to at least try it at 144Hz, as monitors vary), this is an excellent product. I liked that there was a hotkey option, but you could also disable it. I can also confirm this KVM works with Corsair RGB keyboards BUT, as recommended in the FAQ, you need to plug the keyboard into the USB 3.0 jack for the RGB to work.I wound up using a simple A-B DisplayPort switch made by GiantMatrix and sold here on Amazon. It did work at 144hz, with 5ft cables, and that suits me fine as I really don't need to switch the keyboard and mouse.

I use KVMs all over the place but there are a couple of instances where a KVM is overkill. One such an instance is my living room, where I share a keyboard between my smart TV and my multimedia computer, with no need for (and indeed no possibility of) video switching but obviously with a definite need for hot key switching. Worse, I use a Logitech keyboard which is notorious for not playing nice with KVMs, so I had to use a finicky, old Aten VGA KVM for the purpose (the only one I found that will accept hot keys from the Logitech unified receiver). I only need a USB switch in this situation, but I could not find any that would accept a hot key for switchingThose days are finally gone. This USB switch does exactly what I need it to do. It happily accepts hot keys from all the keyboards I threw at it (including Logitech's unified receiver and Rii keyboards that do not play nice with most KVMs), and it just switches USB in the form of a keyboard, a mouse, and a USB 3 outlet. As a bonus it also switches a built-in USB audio adapter (with analog input and output on the switch), though I am not using that.Overall this is as far as I know the only affordable product in its niche and it does very well everything it is supposed to be doing. I am very happy with my purchase and in fact I am going to purchase another one for a similar setup in my family room.This all being said, my switch works fine (as I already said) but something big (most likely the PCB) rattles a bit inside, which does not say good things about the QC and may influence reliability down the line. Time will tell; for now I will just put the switch to good use and keep my finger crossed.

I really like the hotkey (hit twice right ctrl on your keyboard to switch). That means you don't need to keep the switch on your desk. Switches that offer that hotkey feature are usually way more expensive. It works great, no issue. I tried few cheap kvm, all of them had issues. I use that usb switch with a tp-link usb hub and I select the source directly on my monitor to not lower my refresh rate. This setup allow me to save money because a good kvm is expensive, and a lot of people complains about kmv.

Sometimes it disconnects when switching between devices or freezes up connected device power and the power switch at the back has to be reset to fix itOtherwise, good value for the money and the power switching hotkeys are nice to have.
